A little about me.....
Before moving to the shore of this fair country I was professionally trained in the UK. I have been working at the highest level of bike servicing and retail for over 20 years. Assembling and working on top level competition bikes including those for UCI downhill mountain bikers and the Australian para-Olympian team. More recently I have turned my focus to the artisan craft

of frame building, the preservation of bikes through good service, oh, and my family. I’ve deliberately moved away from commercial retailing and am a strong advocate that, with intelligent guidance and a little common sense, the internet shouldn’t be seen as a threat, more an instrument or tool for getting the best information & parts for the right price. Craftsmanship, on the other hand, shouldn’t be compromised. My ethos is to offer a more bespoke repair and maintenance service using professional tooling that has the bike at the heart. As I'm based from my personal workspace I'm often available at out of office hours for drop off or collection of your faithful steed. Please email or call for an appointment.

The last few pieces of the Surly build are coming together. The Maverick licensed Seven is the majority donor to this project as its only fitting as the clients career often involves repurposing what is considered obsolete by many.

Looking forward to this upcoming bike build for an old friend, new frame, a few parts still to be sourced & some cool not quite retro mtb kit will make the Surly a classy commuter.

As always it’s the little things that set you apart.

Utilizing a Dremel with a heavy-duty cutting wheel, I precision-cut a small groove inside the BB cup's sleeve, careful not to obstruct extraction. Then, I secured the bearing puller collet into the groove and cranked it out!

Bit of BB issue landed in my lap today that another establishment told the owner it was game over for this frame as the threaded cup couldn’t be removed - non-driveside T47 BB30i missing the 16 notch outer rim that’s meant to sit against the BB shell. Not sure if it’s been cross threaded, over tightened or seized but it doesn’t look like it’s been pulled or serviced in sometime😩 I’ve a few thoughts regarding removal after it’s been given a decent clean to see ‘what’s occurring’ but answers on a post card please! gravelbikes

Cracking good way to start the new year with a mid 90’s mountain bike resto no rush project. All stripped down & a plan of action formulating. All the more poignant with the passing of Cannondale’s founder recently

The only bike I’ll ever need! Thankyou Geoff for knowledge, skill set & chats, rest well my friend.
