Day 2: The adventure truly begins. βœˆοΈπŸ”οΈ

A heart-pounding flight into Lukla (2,860m), home to what’s often called the world’s most dangerous airport, before taking our first steps on the trail towards Everest Base Camp. Suspension bridges, mountain villages and the towering Himalayas remind us that the best experiences usually live just beyond our comfort zone.

EOI for our Everest Base Camp tour is now open.

Day 1 – Kathmandu πŸ‡³πŸ‡΅

Before the mountains, there’s this city.

Get lost in ancient streets β€” temples, markets, prayer flags, noise, life everywhere. Incense in the air, everything moving at once.

It’s chaos. It pulls you in.

Uncomfortable. Alive. Real.

And that’s where it begins. πŸ”οΈ

One day, the games will end.
The jerseys will fade.
The trophies will gather dust.

What remains are the people you met, the challenges you overcame, and the moments that shaped who you became.
In 2027, Pacific Nomads is heading to Everest Base Camp.
A journey through the Himalayas.
A test of character.
An opportunity to build leadership, resilience and perspective alongside your teammates.

Not every lesson is learned on a rugby field.

Merci Paris.

What started as a rugby tour became so much more. New friendships, new experiences and memories that will stay with us forever.

Our girls finished the tour with a 12-10 Plate Final win over Switzerland, but the result was only part of the story. The way this group represented themselves, their team and their country made us proud every single day.

A special thank you to B&B HOTEL Igny Palaiseau and the local community in Igny Palaiseau for your kindness and hospitality. Many people we met had never met Australians before, yet they welcomed us with open arms and genuine curiosity about our rugby journey.

Paris gave us challenges, laughs, lessons and moments we will never forget.

Until next time. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡«πŸ‡·

When it’s 4 degrees and raining outside… you have to improvise with a change room warm up! Nomads definitely a tournament favorite with the local teams πŸ™ŒπŸ½
