Hi, Team.

Unfortunately I’ve had to make the decision to close the Windsor Dojang after class next week. There will be tonight and next week, then that’ll be it. I appreciate those students who have continued to help sustain the Club all this time, but with low numbers and some work issues for me, it’s time to let the Club go. I will be continuing to train under KJN Bret Nicholls and Sabum Connor Nicholls at North Lakes. Anyone from this Club is welcom to reach out to KJN or Sabum to discuss participating in the classes there.

I realise this is not happy news, but it’s for the best. Meanwhile, I look forwforward to seeing as many of as as possible over the next two weeks and again, thank you to those of you who have remained excellent, loyal students right up to the wire.

Hi, Team.

There are some important class timetable changes you need to be aware of. The Little Dragons and Dragons classes, due to insufficient numbers, have been combined with the first 45/60 minutes of the Tigers (adults) class. No Taekwon-do Gup student under 16yo is to participate in classes after 6:45pm (exception being the WKA class). Students 16yo and older may participate in whatever classes they wish.

Therefore the follow class schedule will commence from this Thursday, 8th of February, 2024…

*Dojang open to visitors from 5:30pm only.
*Full combined class: 6-6:45pm.
*TKD all-ranked Tigers and Dragons 1st Dan and above: 6:45-7:30pm.
*15 min break.
*7:45-8:30pm WKA all ranks & ages (Bring your sparring gear {& uniform if you like} !)
*Dojang to be fully cleared out by 9pm.

The usual training fees cover any and all aspects of training. Casual fees, regardless of age or rank are $15 per class paid directly into the Club account. Students under 16 or all couple/family members are $120 a Term, usual Term fee is $150. The Club Account is:
BSB: 484-799
Account: 350532045

Students are preferred to start and finish classes entirely, however all sessions may be run as fall-in, fall-out.

As many students as possible are requested to remain to the end of the WKA session to assist in packing up, but if you can’t, you can’t.

A terrific group of students for the first class of the new year, especially on such a warm afternoon and evening. Was good to get into some basics and prepare for the next few weeks of sparring and pattern drills. Matilda certainly enjoyed going over her couple of patterns.

This is an old photo of Van Damme, have any of you ever wondered why his kicks are so different from Karate's? Look at the coat of arms on van Damme's shoulder and his Instructor's costume, many more can be found on the Internet, even on the actor's own personal page

Happy New Year, Team.

It’s almost time to return to training so now is a good time for some quick housekeeping.

Training recommences on Thursday, 25th of January for all classes. Same time, same format as last Term. Classes will remain as Thursdays only for at least the two first Terms of this year.

As previously noted all training fees are to be prepaid for the Term unless other arrangements have been made. New or returning students may have a pro rata fee structure. Remember, each time you pay your fees please forward the details of the payment (screenshot, photo, etc) to the Club email address. No invoices are necessary as fees are prepaid. For bank details please PM.

Students who have not paid the post-paid fees from last Term may not participate in class until the fees have been paid for both Terms (again unless with prior arrangement).

Sim Sa’s will be conducted on the final class of term with the exception being Term 2 as I’ll be away for the last day of Term.

Term 4 has 11 days of training so one may be a light Christmas/seasonal celebration where all classes are combined into a two hour session. It’ll be a great opportunity for us all to mingle and meet the younger or older students. This will be TBA closer the time.

As there is just one training day per week any Kup student missing three classes in the Term may not have that Term included in their time without approval & likely make-up sessions in a non-class setting. Any Dan student missing three or more lessons in a Term will not have that Term included in their time without approval after discussion with GMM.

The calendar picture in this post has yellow marks for general training days, brownish marks for Sim Sa days, dark blue marks for the training camp at Currimundi and light blue for the Pioneer Awards at Bli Bli.

As always, any queries please reach out to me here, text me, email me or ring my mobile (not that I can answer it often, but if you leave a message I can call you back).

Looking forward to seeing you all at class this year.
