The mountainous UTMB Eiger 100km in Switzerland, congrats Jimmy in 21hrs27mins!! He felt really good up until 80km then 6500+ of elevation took its toll, slowing down but he rang that bell at the finishline! WOW the scenes!!! Beautiful, stunning and challenging. Epic support crew & family. Jimmy has a go at everything from 5k to 100miles (Kosci end of last year). He got his 2:38 marathon in Chicago last year after a GC dnf. He’s done a back yard, now the most mountainous 100km. Living life to the full, we’re on the edge of our seats!!

- The new Run Through SOP half marathon at Homebush!! Terrific race prep for Sydney Marathon. Ruby Liptak 🥇 female 1:27:59 pb and Josh Timmins 4th male 1:17:28 pb, Gareth Stewart 1:25:19 pb & David Stubbs 1:31 with sickness.

- Bay to Bay, Central Coast - Megan Doyle 19th female scoring a half marathon PB 1:35:52 having a tough tussle with Rob Truscott 1:36:11 (12th in 50-59 age). Sam Stern 12km super strong running! Look at those heart rates!

- 🥉 well done Robin and Susan team bronze in the 4 x 4km ANSW short course cross country over 50s team, however they could’ve been in the over 60s team so they did extra awesome! Also Chris Dwyer 75yrs old racing hard!

- Jacqui 🥇 and Robin 🥈 in their age groups for the 10km Dolls Point Sri Chinmoy! Cathie, Myf, Anne & Grant in the half marathon!

Gold Coast Half Marathon + Marathon 2026 we had over 40 rejoovers across the weekend. Conditions were fantastic and we had many pbs and breakthrough achievements. Some of the pics very telling of the pain cave. Thanks all for the pics & cheering 👏🏼👏🏼

Sydney 10k deep field & humid conditions!! Josh Arthur 34:45 after a lot of recent travel. AJ was all set for sub 34min alas 9.2k💥but he can line up again soon. Chris 36:21 fastest 10k since his achilles op (whilst he may not get close to his pb 31:23 from Zatopek again he still loves racing), GeorginaB 35:57 (11sec pb off the Harbour 10k), AnthonyB, Greta 🥈45-49, JoelM, FreyaB, GrantSh, ZacS, Mark Cammo, Chris Dwyer 🥇70-74, Marlee 14yrs 5k pb 🎉 paced by mum Jenny.

🏆Chris was at Runaway Noosa Marathon so couldn’t go to the ANSW Awards night, but he picked up the trophy for Rec Running Coach of the year. Thank you ANSW for this recognition. Well done team🌟🎉

❤️West Mac Monster (Larapinta Trail) usually very sunny however this year very rainy & wet. These ladies loved it!! 25km Poppy, Courtney, Lily & Sarah Thorne🥉female. Entries open 1st October get in quick!! 25, 65, 128 or the full 231km. It is the rockiest, most stunning trail you’ve ever seen!! Glen Auricht, Superintendant, St John’s volunteer said he treated the most blisters he’s ever seen this year!!

🏝️ marathon, half marathon, 10km & 5km events, with heat, wind & congestion (hotter than previous years). Far from pb conditions yet we had many outstanding achievements 👏🏼👏🏼
Marathon:
- Conor 4th male (🥇25-29 age) in 2:37⚡️impressive 5min pb, he pressed up into 4th from 5th and was only a minute behind 3rd. Stuck out the solo grind!!
- 🥉female in 3:01 fought hard to keep her podium spot 🔥. (Rejoov ladies have Noosa podiums 3yrs in a row: Imy 2:51 🥇 & Olivia 2:57🥉2024; Olivia 2:54🥇 2025 and Harriet🥉2026).
- Matty “metronome” Morris scored his 2nd fastest time (just a few weeks post Ballarat) on holiday with family.
- pb 7th female (🥉age group), also big pbs for Colin 🇨🇦 mara #2 & David Lowry 🇮🇪 mara #2
- delighted with her debut, quicker than planned💫💫
- Gutsy battles to earn their mara finishlines & mates finishing together 🤝 like they finished Sydney marathons together last year too. Cramps couldn’t stop & LukeA. When things weren’t going to plan, they dug in and finished, showing true grit 🥊🥊
- Half marathoners: out there part of the action: 🥇 in age group, ReneeE & JohnC 🤛🏼🤛🏼
- 10k started at 9:15am prob already 24 degrees! 🥇 in age group, backing up 6 days post Syd 10k + Albert, Neil & Isabelle 🙌🏼🙌🏼
- 5k started at 10:15 scorching 🥵 (feeling for all those marathoners still out there. Jaden 8th in 10-14 age group & Matty Morris’ kids Mayer & Bella. Greta backing up in the 5k that was rougher than expected!
Swims, naps & drinks 🍻followed. Noosa might not be the fastest event but it sure is such a beautiful spot & fabulous beach baking 🏖️

community swim for Leah Stewart, with a warm message from her family read by Coogee Surf Club president Ben Heenan. The ocean community warming each others hearts. Thank you Coogee water safety for helping swimmers enjoy a swim. Many swam out across the bay and over to Wylies & wedding cake. June TCS x Rejoov Partner Run Club Saturday 13/6/26 on a sunny Winters morning. It was high humidity and the ocean was calm as we ran past. 11wks out, 27km plus shorter options 18-22km. It was a very enjoyable scenic mostly coastal run with lots of hills to build leg strength. We started at a foggy Queens Park, heading off at 6:30am via Fred Hollows Reserve, Coogee beach, Maroubra beach, Malabar Headland, Jennifer’s boardwalk, Cape Banks Road, Anzac Pde & Avoca St back to Queens Park. Finishing with coffee at QP Kitchen. Highlights included many of the runners seeing new areas for the first time and for some like Lauryn and Isabelle it was their longest ever run 🤸🤸

We had 5 pace groups with 8 accredited Run Leaders including Chris Truscott & Ian Gabriel leading the sub 5s; Greta Truscott & Yury Glikin low 5s; Nathan Archie & Brendan Nee 5-30-45s; Zac Smith and Keira Braybrook low - mid 6min; CathyR & Susan and gang 7min+ 👏🏼👏🏼

Meet 6:15am, briefing 6:20am for 6:30am start running.

Route: 27km (with shorter options) https://www.strava.com/routes/3490280155576287006 Start Queens Park Playground (next to QP Kitchen cafe) heading clockwise, go Market St, Clovelly Rd, Fred Hollows Reserve, past Coogee beach, past Wylie Baths, past Maroubra beach, Malabar Headland before it closes re the rifle range, Jennifer’s boardwalk, Cape Banks road, back up Anzac Parade to Queenspark.

🍌 Prepare: Carb load Friday & Sat pre-long run carbs i.e. toast + banana. Bring a few gels (1 per 30mins at least)! Carry soft flask or water bottle (practice electrolytes + gels). Good long run shoes.

✔️ Short cuts: ~17-18km total: turn at ~8k mark South Maroubra beach cut across the Maroubra side of Malabar Headland / Rifle Range to Pioneer Park, Anzac Pde back to QP .... OR ~22-23km total: go round Malabar Headland then cut back across Pioneer Park, Anzac Pde back to Queens Park.
