Springfield Lakes Community Centre is a vibrant hub of activity for the greater Springfield community. The YMCA is the current manager of the facility.

Our Office Hours are 9:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday, and our Centre is open from 6:00am - 10:00pm every day of the week. Springfield Lakes Community centre is the result of a partnership between the Department of Communities and Department of Education to provide the Grater Springfield Community with a space to meet and share information and access services. Catering for casual hire and permanent hire arrangements, the centre has conference facilities, offices, rooms, kitchen, playgroup area, children's soft fall area, is fully accessible, air conditioned and carpeted throughout. Open to the public, business, services, agencies etc to hire and utilize for events and activities.

YMCA CHRISTMAS APPEAL | We're Back Again Helping Families This Christmas! 🎄

After the incredible success of last year’s YMCA Christmas Appeal, we’re thrilled to be supporting local families in need once again this holiday season!

If you'd like to be part of this amazing cause and make a real difference, please consider donating to our YMCA Christmas Appeal. Your generosity will help provide food, toys, and essentials for families struggling this festive season. Every little bit helps!

We are taking donations of non perishable food items and children's new toys up until December 4th.

Together, we can make this Christmas brighter for those who need it most. 🎁❤️

🎄 We are reaching out to see if anyone has connections with local businesses or small business owners who might be interested in donating a hamper or a few items to help us put together some beautiful hampers for our raffle at the Ipswich Thriving Seniors Christmas Party. 🎅✨

We’d love to make this a special celebration for our seniors, and with the support of our amazing local community, we can add a little extra Christmas magic to the day! 🎄

Whether it’s a gift voucher, handmade goodies, pamper products, chocolates, local products or a hamper ready to go, every donation, big or small, would be so greatly appreciated.

🛍️ Does anyone have any spare Coles or Woolworths paper shopping bags they’d be happy to donate to our op shop? We’d love to give them a second life at our upcoming full a bag event and use them for our customers.

🛡️ Seniors Self Defence Class – Build Confidence & Stay Safe! 🛡️

We’re excited to welcome Rising Sun Martial Arts to the Springfield Lakes Community Centre for a Self Defence Class designed especially for seniors!

This introductory session will focus on:
✅ Awareness and personal safety
✅ Prevention and de-escalation strategies
✅ Practical escape techniques
✅ Basic physical self defence skills

Our goal is to help seniors feel more confident and empowered, both when out in the community and at home.

We’re also pleased to be joined by the Queensland Crime Prevention Unit, who will share valuable information and tips on seniors' safety.

It’s time to welcome our little monkeys (and their grown-ups!) back for more laughter, play, creativity and beautiful moments of connection!

We’re excited to welcome families back for another fun-filled term starting this week — and we currently only have spots available on Thursdays from 9:00am–11:00am.
