Lots of laughing, wrong answers and right answers, it’s easily one of my favourite nights of the year.

We’ve just got back from a week in Adelaide spending time with family. It was a jammed packed 10 days but we had a incredible time. ✈️

As is the way of the business owner my brain didn’t switch off, and so many downloads of all the exciting things I want to bring to YOU, our community, kept flowing!

I will release these slowly over the next few weeks, because I have a habit of doing too much and overwhelming myself. 🥵

But for now I have some VERY EXCITING news!

Just before we went away I finally completed a course I have been cracking away at since the start of the year: 📚

I am now a certified Yoga Teacher. 🧘‍♀️

Yoga & meditation have been two of the corner stones in my mental transformation: from burnt out & anxious to calm & thriving. 🧠

It’s been a course I have wanted to add for years but haven’t had the space to really bring it into action- until now!

As we move forward with another qualification (I have quite a few now) there will be some changes to reflect the level of service members receive- more on that later.

Somewhere between the chaos of mum life, school runs, work and trying to show up for ourselves… we found our village ❤️🧡

This bootcamp has become so much more than just a workout. It’s a space filled with strong, supportive women who lift each other up and who have wrapped that same kindness around my six year old twin girls.

Watching them be encouraged, included, and gently pushed to give new things a go has been something really special. What started as them just tagging along has turned into them finding confidence, choosing to run, and even going on to win their cross country at school. A group of women showing that exercise is a way to celebrate what our bodies can do, not something we use to punish them.

Grateful for every early morning, every cheer, every “you’ve got this,” and every little moment that’s helped build not just stronger bodies, but stronger hearts too.

If you’re in the depths of motherhood without a village and struggling to find your spark, I would definitely recommend G&T movement.

When you start losing fat your hunger increases, and for the first week or 2 that hunger is tolerable and you can generally ignore it pretty easily. 💆‍♀️

Then we start to move into those later weeks and the hunger becomes almost unbearable and you start to question whether you really want or lose weight, you over eat and think to yourself you’ll start again next week.

Before you start your next fat loss phase, let’s break down why your hunger is worse after a couple of weeks, and what you can do to mitigate the hanger. 🍕

Our bodies are constantly trying to achieve homeostasis which is a process where the body will work hard to return it’s self to it’s stable, ‘normal’ body.

What this means for fat loss:
Your body has become comfortable at the weight you’re NOT comfortable at.

When you move into a calorie deficit and your body moves further away from that ‘normal’ weight your body starts fighting for it’s life to get back to that weight. It sends messages to all parts of your body to stop your deficit, eat more and bring you back to your previous weight. 🧠

This process is normal, and in many situations good.
But when we have a goal, it’s not always helpful.

So what can you do moving forward?
1. Now you understand why your body is levelling up the signals of hunger and rage, you can just grit your teeth, bare it and get through till the end. This is the fastest and easiest option if you just want to get s**t done. 😑
2. Have a diet break, eat a bit more for a week or 2. Let those hormones and signals calm TF down, then head back into your deficit with renewed energy. This option is obviously slower but more reliable for women who are already carrying a massive mental load. 🙋‍♀️

Fat loss isn’t easy for anyone; you’ll see even the most dedicated trainers, who make a living off their physique will complain about hunger when they’re in a deficit. The most important thing is choosing what works best for you for consistent achievements.

If you love your body, but are feeling uncomfortable in here your best bet is to also add in exercise to feel like the sexy mamacita you know is inside you.
