Great to see Rangers patrolling the park over the weekend. When they weren't driving around the moto entry points, they parked quietly on high vantage points listening. They work with stealth. Thank you City of Logan!!

Just a reminder, today's Dig Day has been cancelled. If you are going for a ride, look out for fallen and falling branches. This wind can bring down unstable trees also. So slow down in areas you can't see well ahead. Enjoy the well-baked trails, but take extra care.

Motos at it again? I get that there is nowhere legal to ride motos! What I don't get is why get the hard-working Trail Care crew and the Land Manages (City of Logan Council) offside? You need to start a conversation about the possibility of having a place to ride motos. This park has come a long way in the past 10 or so years. There are no car wrecks, piles of rubbish or ugly erosion, this has been replaced by natural beauty, well-constructed and maintained trails and growing numbers of people enjoying the area. And the overall management by the Land Managers over these years.

Deliberate trail damage by Motos - Yesterday afternoon it was very disappointing to discover what only can be described as vandalism; a moto or a couple of motos did donuts and aggressively ran over the features carving deep ruts, making the line unrideable and dangerous for anyone trying to ride them. The Trail Care crew are considered responsible stakeholders in the future of this valuable piece of bushland. We have been interviewed by consultants and consulted about what can the City of Logan Council do with this park for the benefit of all stakeholders. It might surprise some that we even mentioned if there could be space provided for motos. (Motos = non-peddle assist electric motos and fuelled motos) To the responsible moto riders out there, start advocating or be left out - a hard fact! That's what mountain bikers have had to do for the last 20-years. To the moto vandals, a rule you should live by is: "respect served, equals respect returned". We dig for all the "legal" users of this precious bushland, because in the next decade or so, it will be surrounded by housing and people will value this space to walk, ride and run, and generally deal with their mental wellbeing. For anyone that knows these vandals, please take the time to share the big picture with them - in the future they will appreciate and respect this park too. Also warn them that Park Ranger activity will be increased and they could have their ride confiscated. Please report illegal use of the park on the City of Logan website.

Destination Trails will be using this wet weather to maintain and groom the new trail features at the start of Horseshow Loop. They advised for best long-term results ride a different line until the features are well packed in, and hardened. This means less maintenance in the future. This section of trail is designed for progression. Talk to and learn from someone experienced. Start slow, have a walk or roll down beside them, be smart and take care. Don't be afraid to avoid the features you're not confident with.

March 2026 Dig Day - Almost perfect digging conditions, just a tad dry. This rain will settle in our work and the work of Destination Trails. We added a steez roller and small berm and tied up the last down hill run heading towards the Springfield end of Horseshoe Loop. Thanks to the legends that came along, we had a fun morning. This section has been tidied up.
