Today's Dig Day was huge. Thanks to everyone that attended, we achieved a lot; there was a job for everyone, and those jobs were done with so much passion and effort! I guess that we are all looking forward to riding this new trail - Stone Gecko 2.

Don't forget tomorrow's Dig Day. A riding club is coming to help and there has been unofficial dig days and progress has been made; we are ahead of schedule. Come along for a look and chat! Meet at the Thornbill gate at 8am. Bring plenty of water, we aren't acclimatised to warmer weather yet - we'll feel the extra couple of degrees. Tools and training provided, there are all kinds of useful jobs to do, easy and not technical, to strenuous and technical. We are adding lots of features and as it turns out when finished, it will be a sustained blue rating, trending to navy blue! But don't tell anyone....

Dig Day went well today, we feel privileged to have City of Logan's trust to start a new trail. We'll keep it's location a secret until it's completed in a few months' time. Special thanks to our awesome digging legends - Pat, Nigel, Mat, Matty, Izaac, Pete LCC and Guru Dirt Works was on hand for professional guidance. We dug in about 70mtrs of track, a real good start. The experienced crew just 'hooked in' The track can be described as flowy, fast with tech and line options in places. It will be a intermediate blue rated trail, with touches of dark blue along the way.

June Dig Day today - See you at the Thornbill gate entry 8am

14/06/2026

June Dig Day this Saturday the 20th. We have a few 'enhancements' to do. We might have some moto damage to fix also. If we don't put the effort in and fix the damage, the trails will be unrideable in a few years, even for motos! The penny will drop one day when they mature and become responsible members of the community - they'll realise they are destroying what they'll enjoy in years to come.

Great to see Rangers patrolling the park over the weekend. When they weren't driving around the moto entry points, they parked quietly on high vantage points listening. They work with stealth. Thank you City of Logan!!

Just a reminder, today's Dig Day has been cancelled. If you are going for a ride, look out for fallen and falling branches. This wind can bring down unstable trees also. So slow down in areas you can't see well ahead. Enjoy the well-baked trails, but take extra care.

Motos at it again? I get that there is nowhere legal to ride motos! What I don't get is why get the hard-working Trail Care crew and the Land Manages (City of Logan Council) offside? You need to start a conversation about the possibility of having a place to ride motos. This park has come a long way in the past 10 or so years. There are no car wrecks, piles of rubbish or ugly erosion, this has been replaced by natural beauty, well-constructed and maintained trails and growing numbers of people enjoying the area. And the overall management by the Land Managers over these years.
