What a roller coaster of a weekend down at One Raceway! 

Friday practice threw us some unexpected damage in the first session but the team worked hard to get the car back to rolling and managed to squeeze in two sessions for the day which allowed Dylan to get some idea and familiarisation of the track.

Saturday’s schedule was one final practice and qualifying, the car still had some leftover niggles to iron out from the Friday incident but after a quick parts run to Canberra the car was sorted! Qualified 18th
 and got the car squared and set for Sundays racing 

Sunday was the day to be at the track, perfect conditions for racing and loved every second! Car had good speed and was handling beautifully. Race 1 saw Dylan get up into 9th and was going well, until a safety car was declared. Despite all efforts, the tyres dropped off and weren’t able to come back on, so sadly dropped back to 16th.
Race 2 brought the car into a PB of 1.15.50 for the track 👏🏽 , despite this however, we didn’t get any more spots due to tyres dropping away after gaining 3 spots on the start.
Race 3 had the car feeling at its peak, with a few adjutants made in the pits (under guidance). The car felt promising with each lap feeling quicker and quicker until we were stuck in traffic and had a little few rubs. The pace dropped again and ended up finishing the race in last, however that wasn’t with lack of fun as the track was enjoyable at every turn

Throughout the whole event though, the car felt strong, finally felt like we had some power under the hood. That wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Craig

Down at Goulburn for the final round of Destiny series thanks to .
Despite the weekend starting off s**t, it hasn’t stopped us from fixing the car and getting back out there.
Such an amazing facility has put together, and such an amazing track.

Finished race #1 in 21st! Setup was a smidge off so was battling under steer and grip issues all race… racing all finished for today, ready for a big schedule of racing tomorrow 🤙🏽

What a weekend for Team Capstick Racing
Fantastic racing, fantastic atmosphere….all in all a great event at Queensland Raceway.
Still a bit off the pace but proud to say I finally got into the 1:34’s which is a personal best for me and with the help of Gordon Smith and Darren Whittington we feel that we have finally nailed the cars set up.
We cut some solid laps, made heaps of professional and personal progress and raced all the weekend events to the checkered flag without major issue.
It’s upward and onward from here and we couldn’t do what we do without the support of our fantastic sponsors.
