πŸ’œπŸ©΅ ROUND EIGHT – YOUTH FOOTBALL πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

Another exciting weekend of Storm youth football is ahead, with all of our teams on the road except for our U15 Girls, who return under lights on Friday night at Springfield Central βš‘πŸ‰

Make sure you get down to support the girls as they take on Yeronga Devils in what promises to be a fantastic night of football at The Storm Front πŸ’œπŸ©΅

After a mixed bag of results last weekend, our teams will be looking to bounce back, build on their hard work and continue their development as the season rolls on. Every week brings new challenges, new opportunities and another chance to represent the Storm with pride πŸ’ͺ

Safe travels to all of our players, coaches and families heading away this weekend, including the trip north for our U17 Boys taking on the Coolum Breakers.

As always, thank you to our volunteers, coaches, team managers and supporters who make football possible each week. Your dedication behind the scenes is what keeps our club strong ⚑

Good luck to all Storm teams this weekend. Play hard, support your teammates and enjoy your footy!

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ JUNIORS ROUND SIX πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

Another exciting weekend of junior footy is here for the Storm family! βš‘πŸ‰

A special shout out to our U11 Girls on Friday night as they take on the Greenbank Giants. The girls have shown fantastic enthusiasm and improvement every week, and we can't wait to see them back out there under lights πŸ’ͺπŸ’œ

Our U9 Mixed team enjoys a well-earned bye this weekend, while the rest of our junior teams hit the road looking to continue their development and have plenty of fun along the way.

Whether you're playing, coaching, team managing, volunteering or cheering from the sidelines, thank you for being part of what makes our club such a great community 🌩️

Good luck to all of our junior Storm teams this weekend. Play hard, support your teammates, respect your opponents and most importantly enjoy your footy!

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ ROUND SEVEN RESULTS – YOUTH FOOTBALL πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

Football can be a funny game. Some weeks everything goes your way, other weeks you're tested, and this weekend we saw a bit of both across our Storm youth teams βš‘πŸ‰

Congratulations to our U15 Boys and U17 Boys who both recorded strong wins at home at The Storm Front πŸ‘ The effort, teamwork and determination shown by both sides was fantastic to watch and a great reward for the hard work being put in at training.

A special mention also to our U13 Mixed Division 5 side, who fought hard in a close contest that could have gone either way. While the result didn't fall our way, the continued improvement and competitiveness of this group is something to be proud of πŸ’ͺ

Our U13 Mixed Division 2 and U15 Girls teams came up against tough opposition this weekend. One of the great things about football is the opportunity to learn, regroup and come back stronger, and we know both teams will be ready to do exactly that next round.

As always, thank you to our coaches, team managers, volunteers, families and supporters who continue to make youth football possible each week. Your commitment helps create an amazing environment for our players to learn, develop and enjoy the game πŸ’œπŸ©΅

Win, lose or draw, we're proud of every player who pulls on the Storm jumper and gives their best for their teammates ⚑

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ YOUTH TRAINING CANCELLED – THURSDAY 28TH MAY πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

Ipswich City Council has advised that the grounds are closed again today due to ongoing weather and ground conditions.

As a result, all Youth training tonight, Thursday 28th May, has been cancelled.

The Club and Ipswich City Council will complete further inspections and reviews tomorrow before making a decision regarding the Youth games currently scheduled at home tomorrow night.

We understand this has been a frustrating week with changing conditions and appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding and cooperation as we continue to prioritise player safety and the condition of our grounds.

Please continue to monitor team chats and club social media for further updates.

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ JUNIOR TRAINING CANCELLED – WEDNESDAY 27TH MAY πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

Ipswich City Council has advised that grounds remain β€œopen with caution” tonight following today’s weather conditions.

After reviewing the forecast and considering the potential for storms during training, as well as players and families travelling to and from the grounds, the Club has made the decision to cancel all Junior training tonight.

While we know this is disappointing for the kids eager to get out on the track, player safety will always remain our priority.

The Club will continue to monitor Ipswich City Council ground notifications and weather conditions throughout tomorrow and will provide a further update regarding Youth training tomorrow night once further inspections and notifications have been received.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation and look forward to hopefully returning to normal training conditions soon.

Please continue to monitor team chats and club social media for any further updates.

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ ROUND SIX RESULTS – YOUTH FOOTBALL πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

Another fantastic weekend for our Storm youth teams with some outstanding performances across the board βš‘πŸ‰

A huge congratulations to all players, coaches, team managers and families for the effort and energy shown once again this weekend. It’s fantastic seeing our teams continue to grow in confidence and teamwork as the season progresses πŸ’ͺ

A special mention to our U13 Mixed Division 2 side who continue their strong form with another impressive performance πŸ‘ The group has transitioned into Division 2 brilliantly and continues to challenge themselves every week.

Our U15 Girls also recorded a terrific win over Springwood, while our U15 Boys put together another strong team performance against Sherwood Magpies ⚑

We also hope our U13 Mixed Division 5 and U17 Boys players enjoyed a well-earned rest during their bye rounds this weekend and are ready to hit the ground running again next week πŸ’œ

Thank you again to all of our volunteers and supporters who continue to help create such a positive environment for our young footballers each week πŸ“£

The future continues to look bright for Storm football βš‘πŸ’œπŸ©΅

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ TRAINING UPDATE – THURSDAY 21ST MAY πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

Following today’s inspections, the fields have been reopened for training tonight.

During inspections, a small number of fire ant nests were identified around the facility. The Club is working with the appropriate stakeholders to arrange treatment as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, all coaches are asked to inspect their allocated training areas prior to commencing training and to clearly section off any nests or affected areas identified.

We ask all players and families to remain aware around the grounds and to avoid any marked areas throughout the evening.

Thank you to everyone for your patience, understanding and cooperation over the past week as we continue to manage both the weather impacts and ground conditions.

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ TRAINING CANCELLED TONIGHT – WEDNESDAY 20TH MAY πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

Despite the sunshine returning today β˜€οΈ, Ipswich City Council has advised that the grounds will remain closed for today due to the recent weather and field conditions and allow time for further recovery.

As a result, all training tonight, Wednesday 20th May, has been cancelled.

At this stage, the grounds are expected to reopen tomorrow and the Club will complete a further inspection tomorrow afternoon before confirming Thursday training arrangements. Recent rain and changing ground conditions can also increase the need for additional safety checks across the facility following wet weather events.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during a challenging week of weather and changing ground conditions.

Please continue to monitor team chats and club social media for any further updates.

Due to the current weather conditions, both the Club and Ipswich City Council have made the decision to close the fields this evening.

As a result, all Tuesday night Youth training has been cancelled tonight 🌧️⚑
