πŸ’œπŸ©΅ ROUND TEN – YOUTH FOOTBALL πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

We're back at The Storm Front this weekend with another huge day of youth football ahead βš‘πŸ‰

Three of our five youth teams will be in action at Springfield Central on Sunday, making it the perfect opportunity to get down to the club, support our players and enjoy a great day of football with the Storm family πŸ’œπŸ©΅

Our U13 Mixed Division 2 side will kick things off at home before both our U15 Boys and U17 Boys take on Morningside Panthers in what promises to be a big day of football.

Meanwhile, our U13 Mixed Division 5 and U15 Girls will hit the road looking to continue their strong form and bring home another win for the Storm ⚑

After a fantastic weekend that saw four of our five youth teams come away with victories, there is plenty of momentum building across the club. The hard work being put in by players, coaches and volunteers is showing on the field, and we're excited to see what this weekend brings.

β˜•πŸ” Our canteen will be open throughout the day, so come down for breakfast, lunch or a coffee while supporting the club. Every purchase helps support our players and programs, and we always appreciate any volunteers who can spare a little time to lend a hand.

Good luck to all Storm teams this weekend. Play hard, support your teammates and enjoy your footy!

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ JUNIORS ROUND EIGHT πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

Another big weekend of junior footy is here, with Storm teams in action across Friday night and Saturday morning fixtures βš‘πŸ‰

Our U11 Girls return under lights on Friday night as they take on the Kenmore Bears at Springfield Central. The girls continue to grow in confidence each week and we'd love to see plenty of support around the ground as they continue their inaugural season πŸ’œ

Before the junior matches get underway on Saturday, our Auskick Play participants will hit the field at 8:00am for a fun-filled session as Storm takes on the Greenbank Giants. It's always fantastic to see our youngest footballers building confidence, learning new skills and enjoying the game with their friends 🌟

Saturday then sees a mix of home and away games, with our U10 Mixed and U11 Mixed teams hosting at Springfield Central, while our other junior teams hit the road looking to bring home some strong performances.

As always, thank you to our coaches, team managers, volunteers, umpires and families who help make junior football possible every week. Your support creates an environment where our players can learn, develop and most importantly enjoy their football 🌩️

If you're around the club this weekend, make sure you get down and support our young Storm players as they represent our colours with pride.

Good luck to all teams this weekend. Play hard, support your teammates and have fun! πŸ’ͺ⚑

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ THE OLD BOYS STILL HAVE IT πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

The Storm Masters turned back the clock on the weekend, running out 77–57 winners over Pine Rivers Plovers βš‘πŸ‰

There may have been a few sore muscles, some extra recovery required on Monday morning and the occasional reminder that we're not 25 anymore... but the boys got the job done!

One of the great things about Masters football is that while everyone loves a win, it's equally about mateship, staying active and enjoying the game we all love. Seeing the group come together both on and off the field each week is what makes this competition so special.

Well done lads! 🍻⚑

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ ROUND NINE RESULTS – YOUTH FOOTBALL πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

What a fantastic weekend for Storm Youth Football, with four wins from five matches and plenty of reasons to celebrate across the club βš‘πŸ‰

A huge congratulations to our U13 Mixed Division 5 side, who recorded a hard-fought win over Springwood in a great contest. The continued growth and resilience of this group has been fantastic to watch and it's great to see their efforts rewarded πŸ‘

Our U15 Girls continued their impressive season with another strong performance against Kenmore, while the U15 Boys produced a dominant four-quarter effort at The Storm Front. The boys played selfless team football, shared the ball well and were rewarded on the scoreboard for their hard work πŸ’ͺ
The U17 Boys also delivered one of the games of the round, holding their nerve in a thrilling two-point victory over Ormeau. Winning close games takes belief, determination and trust in your teammates, and the boys showed all three when it mattered most ⚑

While the result didn't go our way for our U13 Mixed Division 2 side, the group continues to compete against strong opposition each week and will no doubt take valuable lessons from the experience as they continue their development.

A massive thank you to all of our coaches, team managers, volunteers, umpires, families and supporters who continue to make football possible every week. Your contribution is what makes our club such a special place πŸ’œπŸ©΅

Congratulations to all players on their efforts this weekend. Enjoy the win, learn from the challenges and get ready to do it all again next round!

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ WOODCREST AFL EXCELLENCE PROGRAM TRIALS πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

As part of our growing partnership with the Woodcrest State College AFL Excellence Program, we're excited to share that registrations are now open for students wishing to trial for the 2027 intake.

The program provides a fantastic opportunity for young footballers to further develop their skills while continuing their education, and we're proud to support pathways that help grow the game within our local community.

πŸ“’ A common misconception is that students must live within the Woodcrest catchment area to apply. The AFL Excellence Program can accept out-of-catchment students if selected, so if this has been holding you back, we encourage you to still put your application in and explore the opportunity.

πŸ‰ Registrations close Tuesday 4th August 2026.

We encourage any aspiring footballers entering Year 7 in 2027 to have a look and consider giving it a go.

Best of luck to everyone who nominates and take the next step in their football journey! βš‘πŸ’œπŸ©΅

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ ROUND NINE – YOUTH FOOTBALL πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

Another exciting weekend of Storm youth football awaits as our teams continue their season across South East Queensland βš‘πŸ‰

We've got three big home games at The Storm Front this Sunday, with our U13 Mixed Division 5, U15 Girls and U15 Boys all taking the field at Springfield Central. We'd love to see plenty of purple and teal around the grounds supporting our young Storm stars πŸ“£πŸ’œπŸ©΅

β˜•πŸ” The canteen will be open all day, so come down, grab a coffee, breakfast or lunch and support the club while enjoying a great day of football. As always, we're incredibly grateful for any families who can lend a hand during the day to help keep things running smoothly.

Our U13 Mixed Division 2 side heads to Giffin Park looking to bounce back against a strong Coorparoo outfit, while our U17 Boys travel to Ormeau fresh off a fantastic performance last weekend and will be looking to keep their momentum rolling.

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ JUNIORS ROUND SEVEN πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

Another action-packed weekend of junior football awaits as our Storm juniors take the field across South East Queensland βš‘πŸ‰

This week our U11 Girls enjoy a well-earned bye after a fantastic start to their season. The girls have represented the club brilliantly and we're looking forward to seeing them back on the field next round πŸ’œ

For the rest of our junior teams, it's another opportunity to learn, develop and enjoy everything that makes junior footy so special. Whether it's your first game or your fiftieth, every week is a chance to build confidence, friendships and skills that will last a lifetime πŸ‘

A huge thank you to our coaches, team managers, volunteers, canteen helpers, umpires and families who make junior football possible each week. Your support behind the scenes never goes unnoticed 🌩️

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ GROUNDS CLOSED – THURSDAY 11TH JUNE πŸ©΅πŸ’œ
Ipswich City Council has advised that all council-managed sports fields are closed for the next 24 hours due to recent rainfall and saturated ground conditions.

As a result, all Greater Springfield Sports Youth AFL training scheduled for tonight has been cancelled.

The decision has been made by Council to ensure player safety and minimise damage to the playing surfaces.

We know everyone is eager to get back on the field, but protecting our players and our grounds is the priority.

At this stage, we are awaiting further advice regarding weekend fixtures and will provide updates as soon as information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and support.

πŸ’œπŸ©΅ ROUND EIGHT RESULTS – YOUTH FOOTBALL πŸ©΅πŸ’œ

Round 8 delivered a mixture of highs, challenges and valuable lessons for our Storm youth teams as the season continues to unfold βš‘πŸ‰

A huge congratulations to our U15 Girls and U17 Boys who both recorded impressive victories on the weekend πŸ‘

Our U15 Girls continued their strong form with a hard-fought win over Yeronga Devils under lights on Friday night, while our U17 Boys put together a dominant four-quarter performance on the road against Coolum.

Our U13 Mixed teams came up against tough opposition this weekend. While the results weren't what they were hoping for, these games are all part of the development journey. The resilience, effort and willingness to keep competing are qualities that will continue to serve these players well as they grow in confidence and experience πŸ’ͺ

Our U15 Boys also faced a strong Coorparoo side in what was a genuine top-of-the-table clash. While the result didn't fall our way, the boys never stopped competing and showed in patches exactly why they have been one of the competition's standout teams throughout the season.

One of the great things about football is that every week presents a new opportunity to learn, improve and respond. Win, lose or draw, we're proud of every player who pulls on the Storm jumper and gives their best for their teammates πŸ’œπŸ©΅

Thank you to our coaches, team managers, volunteers, families and supporters who continue to create such a positive environment for our young footballers each week.

Congratulations to all teams on their efforts this weekend, and we look forward to doing it all again next round ⚑
