πŸ’œ PRELIMINARY FINAL RESULTS

The old saying is true "anything can happen in finals"!

TOUGH CONDITIONS: Yesterday's heat had a massive impact on every club and team, fatigue visIbly setting in from half time in most games. Springfield Lakes Netball Club players can hold their heads up high, each one took the court with determination and commitment - they left nothing in the tank!

A HIGHLIGHT DESPITE THEIR LOSS: With a 20+ goal margain at 3/4 time, SLNC08 made some subtle changes (shooters and defenders swapped bibs 🫣) and in an entertaining turn of events they won the first part of the 4th quarter. Their smiles and laughter were a great finish to the season.

GRAND FINAL BOUND: Congratulations to SLNC17 who fought hard and took out the win. They join the line up of 6 incredible Grand Final match ups next weekend playing at 9:00am, 10:15am and 11:50am.

We'll have a glitter and hair ribbon station set up at our SLNC tent all day tomorrow. If our team are busy cheering on other teams please help yourself or decorate a teammate!

🌑 WARNING: it's forecast to be a warm one, please ensure you put on sunscreen before you hit the glitter, and make sure you drink plenty of water to stay hydrated before and during your game.

Western Districts Netball Ass. will place a witches hat in the scorers box on Saturday as a visual indication to all spectators that there is a player or official involved in that game who cannot be photographed or filmed.

If you do not see a witches hat, spectators are able to take photos and video in line with West's Photography & Media Policy.

Please honour this request and together we'll maintain a child-safe environment.

πŸ’œ SUPPORTIVE SIDELINES DURING FINALS

At training, before a game and during breaks in play, the Coach provides instructions and feeback to players with individual goals and also a broader team focus.

When supporters call out from the sidelines, you can distract the players as you're competing with the coaches voice and often contradicting the instructions that the coach has given. This is confusing for players who are trying to execute their role in the team plan.

We understand that finals can get exciting, please stay in the "GREEN ZONE" and cheer but let the Coach coach.
