4x WOMENS USC Barbarians Rugby Club was founded in 1997 just one year after the opening of the university. The Barbarians play in the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union competition. Today USC Barbarians Rugby Club boasts two senior mens grades, an Under 19 Colts team as well as a women's side which i

s complemented by a junior club which offers rugby from under 6s to our junior colts (16/17). This offers a firm foundation to bring players through the club system from juniors into senior grades and offers pathways into representative teams. USC Barbarians Rugby Club is the club of choice on the Sunshine Coast due to its ongoing commitment to nurturing the game and strong club culture. We have the strongest Junior/Senior Integration on the Sunshine Coast. We have an innovated philosophy for such a young club, believing that we are one club and therefore one big team and we should not be segregated into teams but work as one united club. This is evident on and off field with strong training sessions, opportunities to all players regardless of age or skill and we provide an engaging social calendar throughout each season.

Stingrays came calling in 2012, taking Head Coach Hoons and 17 players with him. Another reset. Players such as Luke Bridley and Ash Platz stepping up. Helping guide the young squad through a tough season. The Bahbahs doing what no one expected. Securing a finals spot. But the season ended in the minor semi with a loss to Noosa

Season review: 2003 ⚔️

The year started with Former Red and Wallaby Peter Slattery taking the head coaching role. Handing the young squad the freedom to play. A season more on building culture, than scoreboard results.

Pushing the top sides all year, the results didn’t quite follow. The club was gaining momentum! The return to a top side wasn’t a question of if, but when

Three very different games for the Bahs this weekend. Cricks had a night to forget, getting outpaced by a speedy Noosa side who had a full squad available.

Reggies got into an arm wrestle early. Not being able to capitalise on good opportunities created. In true Bahbahs spirit the side fought hard. An amazing quick thinking play to flyhalf Lewis Ottaway sparking the attack to score the go-ahead try with 5 to go.

A Grade went on a roll early. Piling on the points in a dominant win. Number 8 Tom Mckee scoring off the back of a excellent scrum from the lads. Winger Junior Sisa creating a massive spark off the bench and looked dangerous with ball in hand

Unfortunately our Women had to forfiet this week. But rest assured the teams working hard!

Next week sees the Women's verse Nambour Toads and the A Grade men heading dosn for another match up in the Snake Pit in Caboolture. Reggies have a bye and Cricks play Snakes at home Friday night under lights
