A massive congratulations to our OLY head coach Michael Sage who has recently been named Coach of the Year at the 2025 SWIM Coaches and Teachers Australia Awards!

Michael Sage has led our athletes to achieve outstanding medal successes at this years World Championships and built great success and improvements for our athletes at this years Nationals and Trials. But most of all, our athletes love working with Sagey! His genuine care for all his athletes and his drive for excellence is what allows them to thrive, and succeed in the pool.

Snippets of our Spartans preparation in what lead up to a successful trials.💪🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

The Queensland Government provided $7,500 to USC Spartans Swim Club Inc for on-field equipment to create greater opportunities for more women and girls to become involved in swimming under the Active Women and Girls program to enable Queenslanders to participate in sport and recreation activities.

Congratulations to our OLY squad Spartans who were last night selected onto the Australian World Championships team bound for Singapore 🇸🇬! A busy week of racing at trials has drawn to a close and we couldn’t be more proud of how all our Spartans raced!

Our Para Spartans getting prepared for a big year ahead 💪.
Thanks for having us Bribie Island Swim Club, look forward to seeing you.

Exciting message from Head Coach of the UniSC Para Hub Program Harley Connolly .....

"Australian Dolphins UniSC hub heading to Bribie for their start of year training camp. Monday 27th to Saturday 1st Feb.

As we embark on the start of our next four years we are starting the year off with a training camp in the beautiful Bribie Island.

Swimming at Bribie Aquatic Centre every morning 6:30am Tuesday and Thursday afternoon 3:30pm come down say hi watch how some of the best in the world train. (Monday 10am)

We will also be attending the Bribie Island Swim Club night and racing with all members.

We look forward to training at Bribie."

A big week in Budapest for Spartan . Alex has come home with 3 medals from the World SC Championships, including her first ever individual medals on the international stage! Alex achieved 🥉in the 50 fly, 🥉 in the 100 fly and 🥈 in the 4x100 freestyle relay. Congratulations Alex, a huge effort in what has been a huge international racing year for you, 2x world championships and the Olympics!! Well done!

Congratulations to Alex Perkins for making the 2024 World Short Course Team. Alex won 3 Gold and 1 Bronze at the recent trials. This will be Alex’s second World Short Course Championships team. We wish her all the best for Budapest in December.

After missing out on Tokyo was determined to make a statement in Paris. Jenna had a fantastic Paralympics competing in 3 events and making finals in all 3! Jenna competed in the Women’s S12 100m Backstroke coming 6th in a seasons best time, the Women’s S12 100m Freestyle finishing 8th, and finished strong with a 6th place and a personal best time in the Women’s SB12 100m Breaststroke!

Congratulations on a fantastic Paralympics Jenna we are all super proud of your efforts and performances!

What a Paralympics for Spartan . Emily has come home with plenty of bling. Emily’s first event was the infamous 4x100m 34pt Mixed Medley Relay that stormed to a Gold medal 🥇! Emily in the relay swum a 100fly PB to cement her teams win. 2 days later Emily was up for her first individual swim of the meet the Women’s S9 100m Freestyle where she was only just touched out of the medals for 4th in a seasons best time. On day 9 Emily competed in the Women’s S9 100m Butterfly and swam a person best time to win a Bronze medal 🥉 and her first ever individual Paralympic medal!

Not only this but Emily was also awarded the female athletes’ athlete award by the Australian swim team. This award recognised her contributions to the swim team for her positive attitude, fierce work ethic, professional racing and training attitudes, and inclusion of other athletes.

Congratulations on a fantastic Paralympics Emily we are all very proud of you!

Congratulations to Spartan .betar. This Paralympics was Ricky’s 2nd games and he won his first individual medal. Ricky had some stellar results, with him taking home a bronze medal 🥉 in his main event the Men’s S14 200m Individual Medley in a personal best time! He then went on to set another personal best time in the Men’s S14 100m Backstroke where he placed 6th. He also took on the Men’s S14 200m Freestyle where he placed 10th.
