Huge congratulations to our Tania Stevenson on receiving a 2026 Fairfax Volunteer Award. Tania has been tireless in her pursuit of sponsorships, raising money for our club and charity. In addition, Tania organises the annual Track Fest and is always there supporting our track and cross country meets.

As Ted O'Brien said at the ceremony, “Volunteers are the backbone of our community and it is my pleasure to recognise their contribution to community activities such as coaching, fund-raising or other volunteering.”

Well done, Tania! Make sure you push some of Ben’s trophies to the side so your certificate is front and centre.

The 2026 Oceania Athletics Championships took place in Darwin over the past five days and our athletes brought home a swag of medals, highlighted by the incredible seven-medal haul from our Mr Perpetual Motion, David Reed.
Makayla Elcoate produced another outstanding championships, setting a new Australian U16 record in the 100m and missing her own Australian Long Jump record by just 2cm.
Congratulations also to Matthew Reed, Sam Newsham and Ryan on your fantastic achievements and performances throughout the championships.

‼ Calling all UniSC Athletic club cross country runners!

QA State Relay Cross Country Championships are Saturday 20th June, Nudgee College, Brisbane

⭐ We are currently looking for more UniSC members to fill positions in our relay teams across all age groups.

Chat with you member friends to see if you can form a team. Alternatively, send through an expression of interest and we will do our best to place you in a team.

📩 Email interest to: [email protected]
Expressions of interest close Tuesday 26 May.

⭐⭐ We may contact families during next week if we still have relay team vacancies to fill. If you receive an email, please check your availability, and let us know if you can help your fellow club athletes.

The club covers all nomination fees, and we would like to avoid disappointing athletes by being unable to complete teams.

🥋 Uniform:
It is not compulsory but it’s a great eye-catching IMPI brand uniform and we would love to see teams wearing it and being proud to be a Sunny Coast - UniSC Athletics club member!

Also, if you are planning to apply for the 2025/26 Athlete Travel Subsidy, remember that one of the criteria is that the athlete must wear a UniSC uniform at a QA State Championships, such as QA State Relays.

Uniforms can be purchased from our shop:
