💚 VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION 💚

At our Giro d’Italia Night on Saturday, Brett Lancaster presented Ryan Lancaster with an Outstanding Volunteer Recognition Award and voucher in acknowledgement of the incredible time and effort he has recently given to the Shepparton Cycling Club 🚴‍♂️

Ryan has been heavily involved assisting with:🏉 Pre-season football training sessions
🌭 The 2025 Christmas Carnival canteen
🚴 The entire week of the 2026 BMX National Championships canteen.

For someone of Ryan’s age to continually put his hand up to help the club and wider community is something we’re extremely grateful for.

Volunteers are the backbone of clubs like ours, and Ryan’s enthusiasm, work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed certainly doesn’t go unnoticed.

What a fantastic night at the Shepparton Cycling Club for our Giro d’Italia Night 🇮🇹🚴‍♂️

A great crowd filled the clubrooms for Stage 14, enjoying an awesome Italian spread, plenty of laughs, cycling stories and a brilliant atmosphere all night long.

One of the highlights of the night was the live cross with Daryl Impey, a world tour pro who raced alongside current president Brett Lancaster, along with the club getting a special call out from Matthew Keenan, the voice of SBS in the cycling world, live on SBS.

From the live racing on the big screen to members, supporters and friends all catching up together, the clubrooms had a real buzz from start to finish.

Thanks to everyone who came along and helped make it such a fun and memorable night. Nights like this show what our club is all about.

And who knows… there may be something similar happening during the Tour de France 👀 Stay tuned.
