🏀 DID YOU KNOW? 🐯

In U8s and U10s basketball, players can score a maximum of 10 points per game (or 11 if a foul shot is included).

Once a player reaches their limit, they can no longer score for the remainder of the game — and points can’t be reassigned to another player.

This rule is designed to encourage teamwork, passing, confidence building and creating opportunities for all players to be involved in the game!

It’s a great chance for stronger players to support teammates and help others develop their skills along the way.

A friendly reminder for coaches, team managers and parents helping with scoring to keep an eye on player totals throughout the game 👏

We hope you’ve all had a beautiful day celebrating with your families.

Thank you for everything you do for our players and our community — from the sideline cheering, to the busy nights, scoring, driving and all the little things in between. Our club wouldn’t be the same without you.

100km. 12 hours. One powerful cause. 👏🏻

A huge shoutout to Tigers coach Grant Hicks for his incredible effort raising funds and awareness for youth homelessness.

Leading by example both on and off the court!

We couldn’t be prouder 🐯💛

Shepparton’s Grant Hicks ran a staggering 100km in aid of the Salvation Army’s Miles from Home/Under the Stars event.

🐯❄️ WINTER COMP UPDATE 🐯❄️

Our Winter season kicks off the week beginning 4th May.

Teams will be emailed out early next week, so keep an eye on your inbox 👀

The Winter comp is a more relaxed, social season with no training, but still a great opportunity for players to keep up their skills, fitness and love of the game.

Please note, due to lower team numbers across all clubs, the GSBA and clubs have made the decision to run with one division only.

This means teams have been carefully created to be as even as possible, with a mix of abilities across each team.

It’s a great opportunity for stronger players to support and guide others, and for developing players to build confidence and learn along the way.

🏀 SEASON WRAP UP 🏀 Under 12 Boy’s Mangan

What a season it’s been for this team. Finishing the regular season with only two losses and making it all the way to the grand final, a great effort to come away as runners-up.

Every single player improved so much across the season, which is what it’s all about.

A big thank you to the great group of families for the ongoing support each week, and especially to our Team Manager Nicole for everything she’s done behind the scenes.

🏫 SCHOOL INTAKES:

We are zoned to Bourchier Street, Grahamvale, Congupna and Gowrie Street Primary Schools.

Anyone outside of these Primary schools needs to contact us and transfers are discussed with the GSBA and other clubs.

🏀 GAME NIGHTS:

No guaruntee but they are likely to be:

Mondays – U16 & U18
Tuesdays – U8 & U10
Wednesdays – U12
Thursdays – U14

Game times vary each week from 4.20pm to 7pm.

👕 UNIFORMS:

Tigers singlets and plain black basketball shorts with no pockets.

U/8 & U/10 Players do not need to purchase a singlet. We loan you these.

All other age groups need to purchase a singlet if don’t have one already or need a new size. These can be bought at registration.

Please email us if you are interested in coaching or team managing. Working with Children’s checks are required.

🏀 TEAM SELECTION PROCESS :

No trials for Winter Comp.

We use coaches and team managers feedback from the previous season, speak with committee members and others that know each age group, look at previous teams etc.

We grade the players and take into account factors such as height, speed, experience, attitude.

At times we even out teams if there are 2 teams in a division.

We do not take into account friendships and schools.

Please prepare your child to be with team mates they may not have met before.

🏀 SEASON WRAP UP - Under 10 Girl’s Graham 🏀

This season our U10 girls team has been an absolute joy to watch. From the very first game, this little group showed great enthusiasm, teamwork and a genuine love for basketball.

Across the season the girls continued to grow in confidence and develop their skills, with plenty of great moments and highlights along the way. What stood out the most was how much they enjoyed playing together and how they supported and encouraged one another on and off the court.

A big thank you to all the parents and families for their support throughout the season. Your encouragement helped create such a positive and fun environment for the girls to learn and enjoy their basketball.

This group has represented the club so well and should be incredibly proud of the season they’ve had. We’re excited to see them continue to grow and enjoy the game.

🏆 GRAND FINAL DAY WRAPPED 🐯

A huge congratulations to our Under 14 Girls Gillespie and Under 14 Boys Hueston on their incredible wins! 👏🏻 And a special shoutout to our MVPs Lachlan Findlay & Lottie Palmer — so well deserved.

To every team who competed on the day, what an effort. Making it to Grand Final Day is such an achievement and something you should all be really proud of.

A big thank you to our amazing coaches, team managers, scorers, parents, and everyone behind the scenes who gets these kids to games week in, week out. It truly doesn’t go unnoticed.
