💙Ovarian Cancer Awareness💙
Each year in Australia, around 1,900 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Too often, it’s detected at an advanced stage—when treatment is more challenging. That’s why awareness and early symptom recognition are so important. Awareness saves lives. 🎗️
5 things to know:
1️⃣ Australia’s most lethal female cancer (49% five-year survival rate)
2️⃣ Around 70% diagnosed at an advanced stage will face recurrence within three years
3️⃣ Symptoms are often vague and easy to dismiss
4️⃣ There is no reliable early detection test — Pap smears do not detect ovarian cancer
5️⃣ Family history matters when understanding personal risk
