Thanks Ian Russell for the following details of PRRC’s super successful results from the State Masters last weekend - great work rowers, coaches and supporters! Photo credit Henry Borger. Saturday started with good conditions which changed to strong tailwind then tail/sidewind for the remainder of the regatta.
Regardless the Pine Rivers team were consistently successful with Jenny and Susanne, Kate Morris, Michael and Henry achieving gold and silver medal wins in their crew races. Kate rowing with success in composite crews. Jenny and Henry in the single scull races winning silver in the CWM1x and bronze in CMMAB1x. Ian Russell and Walter Link were competitive in the difficult conditions. A Pine Rivers team of 7 rowers had a very good day. Smiles all around.
Results for Saturday 3 gold, 4 silver and one bronze.
Sunday started calm and remained good for the full day. Michael and Henry in the composite Pine and BGPS CMMAB4x and CMMAB2x maintained the momentum by winning gold and silver medals in these races. Justin King rowed well in the CMME1x. A team of 3 rowers competed on Sunday.
Results for Sunday one gold and one silver. Another good day for Pine Rivers giving a total of 4 gold, 5 silver and one bronze medal for the regatta.
Thanks Alan, for towing on Friday, setting up the Pine Rivers camp, assisting the rowers and presenting medals for QLD Rowing progressively during the regatta.
