The clubs beginning started 20 years ago in 2001 with a small group of ladies and their daughters playing netball at the PRNA deciding it was time to break away from their current club and start a new, fresh club of their own. This saw Pine Panthers Netball Club being formed with 3 teams competing in the winter day competition;- an under 12’s, Inter 1 and and Div 2 team. All 3 teams proceeded into
the grand finals with 2 teams winning the grand final!! At the commencement of the 2002 season, the club had grown by 10 teams, a massive growth in just 1 year and this is where the success story of the club begins The Pine Panthers were the first club to set the benchmark at Pine Rivers – the first club to actively pursue and promote sponsors, the first to secure Vicki Wilson and the Qld Firebirds for clinics, first to obtain multiple government grants and the first club to have a Qld Firebird (Karen Wright) as our first ever Club Patron.. Since those early days the club has sustained its growth in teams and in the 2012 season had 15 teams participating in the winter day season at the PRNA from netta 8’s to Div 3 Ladies team. 3 teams made it through to the grand final with ALL teams coming away grand final winners!! We are a family and community orientated club and are motivated by our own personal passion for netball. We are committed to promoting netball as a healthy, fun, team sport in a competitive and enjoyable environment. We are looking forward to welcoming back all our members plus all new members to the club for the 2021 season. Pine Panthers are looking forward to making it an even more successful & fun season for all players, umpires, spectators and volunteers!!!
