Braving the terrible forecast, we headed out to Somerset Dam.

As soon as the drizzle started, Dad was on to something big! His new PB Yellowbelly
going 60cm on the nose!!

Shortly after, he landed a 50cm, which is dwarfed compared to the other football!

On our recent trip to Port Macquarie Jesse and I managed to get out fish the old stomping grounds!

It has been atleast 10yrs since I've fished it but fish are fish and do the same thing everywhere. So we managed to get onto a few.

This week we managed to get out and about on Sunday and Wednesday.

Highlight off Sunday was watching Jesse jump from the boat chasing a decent mud crab. Dad had all ready caught one in the shallows, Dad was laughing with 2 muddys to eat. We managed a few fish as well.

Today Dad and I ventured out since we had the morning free. Launching at 8:30 and back by 12 we some quality fish biggest going 61cm.

As the tide turned we found a spot that we could actually see schools of smaller flathead moving through and that was awesome fun site casting!!!

We have been using the Rapala crush city imposter for a few months now and they absolutely kill it! Will this replace Jesse's got to lure - the Squidgy bloodworm wriggler???? only time will tell

Toga Tuesdays!

What else is there to do a Tuesday morning then burn your shins and take the yak out to hunt some Aussie natives!

Today I was lucky enough to catch my first Saratoga going roughly 46cm!! Stoked.

I also manage to land about 15 bass in my 3 hour session on Gentlemens hours (9am-12pm)

Great way to spend a morning.
