Newport Breakers Rugby Club

Newport Breakers Rugby Club The Newport Breakers Rugby Club was established in 1963 and consists of 5 senior teams that compete in the 1st Division of the NSW Suburban Rugby Competion.

More recently the Breakers have expanded to include both womens and mens teams

The inaugural “Race of the Ages” 🏃🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

This Saturday at half time in first grade, there will be a foot race that will bring all ages into an equal field to decide whether age is just a number, or a valid reasoning…

We have selected contestants both past and present of the Breakers family to come and test their age and show all of porters what they’re really like at top speed no matter the age.

It will be a handicapped race where the fastest “young buck” will start on the 100m line and from then on the older the participant the shorter the distance.

We’re back at Porter’s Reserve this Saturday as we take on Forest Rugby Club in a massive day of rugby.

Our 1st Grade side has already wrapped up the series 2-0, meaning the Manly Daily Shield is returning to Porter’s & they’re chasing the clean sweep!

The Colts have a different challenge ahead. They’re playing for the Black Dog Cup and will be looking to bounce back with a big win over Forest.
