With a forecast of 20Kts SSE the conversations on most boats was around choice of sails and whether to reef the main. However the wind never got up above 15Kts and instead the fleet was picking their way through the wind shadow between West Head & Patonga with front runners providing some clues for those behind. A good battle between Papillon & Pirihi the whole way around the course was eventually won by Papillon. Gen X took the win, closely followed by Just Magic II & Kookaburra with just a minute between the three.
