HOT FLASHES vs HULKS 🥎🌧️🔥
If you love drama, grit, and a game that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.... this one had everything.
The stage was set with soaked fields from earlier rain, the ground still heavy underfoot. It had been dry for hours leading into the game, but just as the teams took the field… the rain returned with light showers, adding another layer of challenge. Slippery conditions, wet balls, and uncertain footing meant this contest was always going to be anyone’s game.
💥 1st Innings - A fiery start
Hot Flashes wasted no time making their presence known. They came out swinging and piled on 3 quick runs, setting the tone early. But the Hulks weren’t about to be outdone. Showing their trademark determination, they answered right back, driving in 4 runs of their own to sn**ch the early lead.
⚡ 2nd Innings - Dead even
Both teams settled into the battle. Defence tightened, pitchers found their rhythm, and each side managed 1 run apiece, keeping the scoreboard ticking but the margin razor thin.
🔥 3rd Innings - Momentum swings
Hot Flashes came out with purpose and exploded for another 3 runs, putting the pressure firmly back on the Hulks. The Hulks tried to respond, but the Hot Flashes defence stood tall — the first two batters quickly retired with a pop fly and a sharp hit back to the pitcher. Hulks were held scoreless that inning.
🌧️ Final Innings - One last push
Hot Flashes kept the momentum rolling, adding another 2 runs before the Hulks managed to shut things down and stop the damage.
Now the pressure was on.
The Hulks stepped up to bat needing runs to stay alive. And they came out swinging, sending balls deep and putting the Hot Flashes defence under pressure. The effort was there and the fight was real… but despite the surge, they just couldn’t quite claw their way back on top.

A one-run thriller, played in challenging conditions and packed with momentum swings from start to finish. Both teams left everything on the diamond, but tonight Hot Flashes held their nerve to take the win in a nail-biter.

With that victory, Hot Flashes now book their place in the Grand Final, where they will face the Furies this Saturday 14th March at 2pm.
