The first half was the complete opposite of last week. The boys ran hard, used the ball well, kicked straight and played with real intent. The cohesion amongst the group was evident, but with IMPS being one of the form sides of the competition, the challenge was always going to be maintaining that level for four quarters.
At half time, Rawso reminded the group to stay focused, knowing even the slightest lapse would allow the opposition back into the game.
The second half turned into a battle between the two half-forward lines, with both sides largely cancelling each other out on the scoreboard.
Again, one of the major highlights was the continued development of the younger players being blooded at league level, with their effort and skill continuing to improve each week. Equally pleasing was the overall team performance, with contributions coming from across the ground.
Moving forward, the challenge will be producing that level of football consistently over four quarters against the competitionโs top sides. Rawso was able to enjoy the win with the group after the game, but the message was clear โ come Tuesday, attention turns straight to the task ahead next week.

IMPS burst out of the blocks with plenty of run and energy, making our boys look slow and unsettled early. Before long they had four goals on the board, but to the boysโ credit they fought their way back into the contest with two late goals.
The second quarter lifted in intensity, with both sides upping the pressure. The Colts players stepping up into the side added some much-needed speed, while the experienced heads steadied the group to leave the game evenly poised at half time.
The third quarter was an end-to-end battle. Scoring became difficult for both sides, but when opportunities presented, they capitalised. Heading into the final change, we held a slender one-goal lead.
The last quarter was an absolute cracker and had everything. Either side could have taken the points, but fortunately the scoreboard was in our favour when the final siren sounded. Crossy was proud of the way the entire playing group stood tall when the pressure was at its highest.

In perfect weather and on an oval in outstanding condition, the Colts knew they were in for a tough contest.
The first half was a game of momentum swings. DFC dominated the opening quarter and looked to have complete control, but the young IMPS outfit found plenty of run in the second term and quickly turned the game on its head. To the boysโ credit, they responded with a couple of late goals to head into half time with a narrow lead.
The second half remained a real arm wrestle, but every opportunity inside forward 50 was made to count. Dozza was thrilled with the way the boys responded after the break, returning to a brand of football that matched the standards they set for themselves.

In Jethroโs 50th game, the Year 8/9โs came into the match full of energy and determined to put in a strong performance. The game began as a tough contest, with both sides applying intense pressure and fighting hard for every possession.
As the match went on, our team began to settle and play some free-flowing football. The hard work and skills the players have been developing at training are really starting to shine through during games. Their teamwork, confidence, and effort were rewarded with another well-earned win.

The Year 6/7 team had a fantastic win, enjoying the opportunity to play a standalone game for a change. With all the attention on them, the players embraced the spotlight and rose to the occasion with a terrific team performance.
Every player contributed and played their role, making it a well-deserved victory. Well done to the whole team on a great win!

Friday night saw our Auskick, Superkick, and Year 4/5 teams light up Imps under the lights!
The atmosphere was fantastic, with big crowds, plenty of excitement, and kids having a great time playing footy.
A huge thank you goes to all of our coaches & assistants for the time, effort, and dedication they continue to put into developing the future of our club.
