Week Four - Wrap

Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd February

Week Four of the Belt Up WA Basketball WA Country Championships delivered big moments, tough contests and plenty of Timberwolves pride.

The atmosphere at Bendat Basketball Centre was outstanding, with Manjimup teams and families filling the grandstands to support one another and truly show what town spirit is all about.

Our Manjimup teams once again represented our community with resilience and heart. Every player gave it their all across the weekend, backing their teammates and embracing the challenge of top‑level country basketball.

🏀 U14 Girls – Semi Finalists - The U14 Girls had a fantastic championship run, winning four games and suffering their only loss by a heartbreaking single point. They played with confidence and composure throughout the weekend, lifting their intensity as the stakes grew. A strong semi‑final performance capped off a great campaign and highlighted the teamwork and belief within this group. A very exciting team with a bright future ahead.

🏀 U16 Boys – Runner‑Up Champions - The U16 Boys put together a strong and consistent championship to finish as Runner‑Up Champions. Their experience playing weekly in the local U19 competition showed, with tough, disciplined basketball on display all weekend. They rose to every challenge, showed resilience when it mattered most and earned their place in the Grand Final. A well‑deserved result for a committed and talented group.

🏀 U16 Girls – Semi Finalists - The U16 Girls impressed with a dominant run into the finals, winning all of their games before going down in a fiercely contested semi‑final against town rival, Bridgetown. They played with confidence, intensity and great team connection across the weekend. While the result didn’t fall their way, their performance reflected the strength and depth of Manjimup’s junior program.

💫 Behind every game is a huge team of people who make weekends like this possible.

💫 A massive thank you to our coaches, team managers, scorers, umpires, parents, families and supporters for the time, travel and endless encouragement.

💫 We couldn’t be prouder of every player and volunteer involved.

Week Three - Wrap

Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th February

Week Three of the Belt Up WA Basketball WA Country Championships at Bendat Basketball Centre brought the heat in every sense - big moments, tough contests and plenty of Timberwolves pride on display.

Our Manjimup teams showed exactly what country basketball is about: resilience, teamwork and heart. Every player represented our town with pride and gave it everything they had.

🏀 U12 Boys - CHAMPIONS - What a weekend from this group. Their confidence grew with every game and their teamwork really stood out. Winning all but one match, the boys capped it off by taking the grand final in an unforgettable contest. 🏆
The moment everyone will remember was Patrick Fall calmly sinking an after-the-buzzer free throw to steal the win against Bridgetown. A special group of young players with a very exciting future ahead.
MVP for the GF: Jude Brown 🏅

🏀 U13 Girls - Six games across two demanding days tested this team to the limit. While the wins didn’t come, their effort, fight and belief never wavered. For a small-town team, their determination and growth across the weekend was outstanding and something to be incredibly proud of.

🏀 U14 Boys - RUNNER-UP CHAMPIONS - In their second year together, this group showed just how far they’ve come. Playing as a true team, they battled through late fixtures, including a late 9pm Saturday night game - to win every match except the Grand Final. A strong, connected group and definitely one to keep an eye on.

Behind every game is a village of people who make weekends like this possible. A huge thank you to:

🌟Our coaches for their leadership and dedication

🌟Our team managers for keeping everything running smoothly

🌟Our scorers, parents, families and supporters for the kilometres travelled and endless encouragement

🌟Our umpires who represented Manjimup with professionalism and pride

COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026
WEEK TWO – WRAP

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th February 2026

Week Two of the Basketball WA Country Championships at the Bendat Basketball Centre delivered everything you expect from country basketball - heat, grit, and a whole lot of heart.

Our two Manjimup teams took on the weekend with courage and determination, proudly wearing the Timberwolves colours and giving their all.

🏀 U12 Girls - This group showed incredible growth across the weekend. With every game, their confidence lifted and their teamwork shone through. A strong win against Waroona and a hard fought draw with Tom Price highlighted just how far they’ve come. Their resilience, competitiveness and willingness to work for one another made them a joy to watch.

🏀 U15 Boys - Facing a massive schedule of nine games across two demanding days, the boys were pushed to their limits - and they answered the challenge. Competing in a tough Division 2 against teams from much larger regional centres, they recorded four wins, with several narrow losses that could have gone either way. For a team from a small town, their effort, fight and belief were nothing short of impressive.

Behind every game played are the people who make weekends like this possible. A heartfelt thank you to:

🌟Our coaches, for their guidance, leadership and tireless commitment

🌟Our team managers, who keep everything organised and running smoothly

🌟The scorers, parents, families and supporters who drive the miles, cheer from the sidelines and create opportunities for our kids

🌟Our umpires, who represented Manjimup with professionalism and pride throughout the weekend

We are incredibly proud of every player and every volunteer involved.

Week 3 & Week 4 updates coming soon.
