🐍 Welcome Madeline Puli 🐍

We’re thrilled to welcome Maddi Puli to the Cobras for season 2027!

Maddi brings an impressive sporting background, having played college basketball at TCU in the USA from 2019–2021 on a full athletic scholarship before returning to Australia to play NBL1 South basketball with the Keilor Thunder from 2022–2025. She was also part of the Thunder side that reached the 2024 NBL1 South Grand Final.

With a long history in netball and a strong defensive background, Maddi is an exciting addition to our A Grade squad. Her height and athleticism will complement our already strong defensive unit, adding another level of presence and pressure in the defensive circle.

We can’t wait to see Maddi bring her experience and talent to the court in the Red, Yellow and Black!

WELCOME TO THE COBRAS, MADDI! ❤️💛🖤

🐍 WELCOME TO THE COBRAS, RILEY FISHER 🐍

The signing announcements keep rolling at the Cobras and we couldn’t be more excited to announce that Riley Fisher is joining us for season 2027!

A Vice Captain and Premiership Player at Hoppers Crossing in the WRFL, Riley brings valuable leadership, versatility and premiership experience to Maddingley Park.

Joining his great mate, Zach Vesty in the Red, Yellow and Black, Riley has followed our fortunes closely and is eager to get to work with the boys! At 188cm, Riley adds size to our midfield and can swing forward, take a grab and hit the scoreboard, making him a dangerous addition to the Cobras lineup.

Please join us in welcoming Riley and his family to the Cobras community!

BRING ON 2027 ❤️💛🖤

🌟 KAYE LAFRANCHI – LIFE MEMBER INDUCTEE 🌟

A passionate member of the Bacchus Marsh Football & Netball Club since 1985, Kaye has dedicated countless hours to making our Club the wonderful place it is today.

From supporting the social committee with her cooking and baking to introducing the Club to the ‘Last Man Standing’ fundraiser, Kaye has always found ways to give back.

Her contribution to netball has spanned both junior and senior levels, taking on roles as assistant coach, team manager, scorer, timekeeper and caretaker of bibs, while keeping players fuelled with oranges and lollies. She has also mentored coaches, players and coordinators along the way.

Behind the scenes of the Men’s Football Program, Kaye has been just as invaluable. For years, she recorded live Ballarat Football League scores from the car or grandstand, keeping supporters up to date with the Cobras from afar.

Since 2010, she has been one of the Club’s chief football jumper washers, looking after everything from playing jumpers and towels to water carrier shirts and runners’ tops. She has also stepped in as interchange steward and timekeeper, organised weekly supplies of lollies, cordial and pickle juice, and even provided the much-loved preseason Zooper Doopers!

Whether helping clean change rooms and showers or lending a hand in the kitchen on Thursday nights, Kaye’s commitment has never wavered.

❤️ Congratulations, Kaye LaFranchi, on your well-deserved Life Membership! Thank you for your incredible dedication, generosity and countless hours of service to the red, yellow and black. Our Club is a better place because of people like you!
