A message on behalf of the Reserves playing group:

We would like to thank everyone for their messages and comments over the past 24-48 hours.

Whilst the situation has been difficult to deal with, we have felt an overwhelming amount of love and support from everyone within the club and from the general public.

To cap off a fantastic season, we’d like to extend an invite to all players, partners, friends and families to come down to the clubrooms tomorrow (Saturday 05/09) from 2:30pm onwards.

There will be a sausage sizzle, the AFL finals will be on the TV and the bar will be open.

Come down tomorrow to celebrate a great year and hopefully an E Grade Netball win!

It’s time to celebrate another incredible season of the Bacchus Marsh Football Netball Club! 🐍❤️💛🖤

Join us at St Anne’s Winery, Myrniong on Friday, October 2nd, with a 6:30PM start for a night of awards, celebrations and plenty of good times!

Senior Women: Grand Final

A huge credit to our Senior Women on an outstanding achievement in making the Grand Final.

While it wasn’t the result we were hoping for against Darley, the girls gave it everything they had and should be incredibly proud of their efforts. Reaching the Grand Final is a wonderful accomplishment and a true reflection of the commitment, determination and belief shown throughout the season.

✍️THE ROOKIES ARE BACK FOR 2027✍️

The next generation of Cobras are putting their names down for another season! Riley Cook, Angus Morgan, Harry Scardamaglia, Armi Wakefield, James McDaid, Zac Dalli and Harry Metcher have all committed to Bacchus Marsh for 2027.

With Cook, Wakefield and Metcher making their senior debuts in 2026, the future is looking bright for this group. Alongside Morgan, Scardamaglia, McDaid and Dalli, these young Cobras have shown plenty of promise and are only going to continue getting better.

With youth, energy and plenty of talent, The Rookies are ready to take another step forward in 2027. ❤️💛🖤

Under 19 girls: Grand Final

Bacchus Marsh (2.3.15) def by North Ballarat (8.7.55)

No doubt the girls will be disappointed with the result, but they can hold their heads incredibly high after what has been a wonderful season.

To reach a Grand Final is a fantastic achievement in itself, and the girls have shown tremendous growth, resilience and commitment throughout the year. While today’s result wasn’t what they had hoped for, this group has plenty to be proud of and, more importantly, plenty of promise heading into 2027.

With many of these girls continuing to develop and grow together, the future is certainly looking bright. Today will provide valuable lessons and motivation as they look to come back bigger, stronger and even more determined next season.

Congratulations to all the girls, coaches, volunteers and supporters on a fantastic 2026 season.

Reserves: Qualifying Final

Bacchus Marsh (10.11.71) def by North Ballarat (11.6.72)

Going down by the narrowest of margins, there’s no doubt there will be plenty of disappointment after today’s result.

But importantly, our season is far from over. We’ve earned ourselves a double chance and will take plenty of learnings from today’s battle into next week.

The effort, determination and fight shown today is something we can build on. Now it’s about regrouping, taking the lessons on board and coming back with even more belief.

Keep the fire in the belly, boys — there’s plenty to play for!

U18.5's: Elimination Final

Bacchus Marsh (8.7.55) def by Ballarat (9.9.63)

A gallant effort from our 18.5’s against Ballarat today, going down by just 8 points.

Our boys left absolutely everything out on the field, showing plenty of fight, determination and belief right until the final siren.

While the result wasn’t what we hoped for, they can hold their heads high knowing they gave it everything when it mattered most.

There is plenty of promise heading into next season, with this group continuing to grow, develop and build on the strong foundations they have created throughout the year. The experience gained from today’s final will only make them stronger, and there is no doubt this group has a bright future ahead.

A huge congratulations and thanks to all the players, coaches, volunteers and supporters for an outstanding season. Be proud, boys.

The U19 Girls are ready to take centre stage! 🔥

After finishing top of the ladder and winning their qualifying final, the girls have earned their place in the Grand Final — and now it’s time to leave everything out there.

A huge season has come down to one final game. Get down to City Oval and get behind the girls as they chase another flag! 💪🐍
