🚨 Queensland Dance Families, we need you! 🚨

For so many of our children, dance is not just a hobby. It is their sport, their therapy, their confidence, their community and their happy place. It is early mornings, late nights, sore feet, proud smiles and a love that runs deep.

Yet while so many other physical activities are recognised under the Queensland Play On Sports Vouchers, dance continues to be left off the list, meaning Queensland families who choose dance miss out on the same financial support available to everyone else.

That is not fair. And we have a chance to change it.

A petition is now live calling on the Queensland Government to ensure children who choose dance have the same access to Play On Sports Vouchers as children in any other eligible activity. We need as many signatures as possible before the petition closes on Friday 2 October - the stronger the numbers, the stronger the message taken to Parliament!

All it takes is one minutes. Sign the petition, share this post, tag a dance family and let's make some noise for our dancers! 📣

Who can spot Miss Ella?! 👀🎓🩰

Sunday was a very special day for Miss Ella as she attended her official graduation ceremony at the Royal Academy of Dance in Sydney!

Over the past two years, during her time teaching with us at Performa, Ella worked towards her Royal Academy of Dance Certificate in Dance Teaching (Ballet). This was no small achievement, with countless hours of written study, practical work and dedication behind the scenes.

Many days after finishing her morning Tiny Tots classes, Ella would settle in at the studio and spend the hours before afternoon classes diligently working away on her coursework. It makes us incredibly proud to now see all of that hard work recognised as she celebrates this wonderful milestone.

While Miss Ella may no longer be here with us in Mackay, she will always be a special part of our Performa community, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything she has achieved.

Congratulations, Miss Ella! What a wonderful achievement and such an exciting step in your teaching journey. We miss you dearly and are so proud of you! 🩷🎓🌟

Our Platinum Performa students have been keeping busy this first half of the year! 🤩

From competitions and workshops to learning new skills and challenging themselves every step of the way, they’ve continued to work hard and grow, both in and out of the studio.
