Established in 2004, Salt Surf Life Saving Club is one of the newest surf club in Australia. Salt SLSC is committed to making Salt Beach one of the safest on the New Tweed Coast. Our volunteers patrol Salt Beach during the season from September through until May the following year, ensuring that the beach is safe for residents and visitors. Our patrol services are supplemented by the Australian Li

feguard Service, ensuring that Salt Beach is patrolled 365 days a year. Salt SLSC is a strong and vibrant club that prides itself on patrol standards, surf education and junior training. The Salt nipper program, which was introduced in 2006, is developing into a highly efficient training environment, with coaching expertise being acquired from Australia wide as more people make the Tweed Coast and Salt SLSC their home. Our nipper numbers are rapidly expanding as word spreads about the high quality training, safety and friendly environment provided at Salt SLSC. The club is also committed to the local community and our family friendly environment is a great strength. The club regularly hosts various formal and informal social functions through the year for members, supporters and local residents. With a membership base spread right along the Tweed Coast and as far away as Brisbane, you will find Salt SLSC is a great place to be.

Salt SLSC will be commencing our next Bronze Medallion and SRC course on Tuesday 15th September, at 6pm upstairs at Salt Surf Lifesaving Club.

We'd love to see nipper parents, friends and family of current members, and anyone who would like to learn more about safety in the surf - and proudly wear the red and yellow as a volunteer for Salt SLSC in 2026/27!

This course will run over approximately five weeks with theory on Tuesday evenings and practical sessions on either Saturdays or Sundays (determined based on participant availability and weather permitting).

If you are interested in joining in or finding out more, please come along to the first session. Please note, everyone attending needs to be a Salt Surf Club financial member before Tuesday 15th September.

Sept 19 - Nipper Sign On, Open Day, Patrol Meeting.

We'll be combining Nipper Sign on (11am - 1pm), a Patrol Pre Season Meeting (1pm) with an Open Day for new and prospective members. Members bar will be open from 2pm, with footy finals on the big screens. Bring a friend along and introduce them to the club.

Patrol Teams and Roster will be circulated in the coming weeks.

Sept 26 - Proficiencies and AFL Grand Final

First day of Patrolling season will include Bronze and IRB proficiencies.

Bronze Dry - 10am and 12pm and Wet session across the morning around the dry sessions, IRBD and Crew 9.30am and 1.30pm.

All followed by the AFL GF at the club.

Hi Salt Members,

The club will be looking to run a working bee weekend across AUG 15-16 from 7.30am to 4pm each day. We've allocated two days to give members flexibility in any time they can allocate across the weekend. Works to be completed will include, removal of kitchen and bar equipment pre commencement of building works, cleaning, patching and painting deck areas upstairs. Gernie and general clean up downs stairs and surrounds. Nipper trailer repairs and season prep. Those who can contribute will be provided with food and drink vouchers to use upstairs from 3pm each day. Anyone with suitable powered equipment they can supply will be most valued. Family and friends are welcome to help out and also to join in the social side from 3pm. With winter sports, I know it's a big ask, but your time will be greatly appreciated.

Shout out to the team from ICCONS Pty Ltd who were very enthusiastic supporters of our weekly raffles at Salt Bar last Friday. The large group from ICCONS helped Dee and our raffles team to a new one-night record of $1,305!

Thanks to everyone who purchased a ticket, and to everyone who supports our raffles week after week. All funds raised go to supporting our vital life saving operations at Salt SLSC.
