Innisfail Golf Club Innisfail Golf Club is situated just 1 hour south of Cairns & 2.5 hours north of Townsville in the h The Innisfail Golf Club was initially formed in 1925.

The Golf Course, being situated in the heart of Tropical North Queensland, lives up to the town's slogan of "green like you've never seen". The Clubhouse and carpark are situated on the Bruce Highway on the northern end of town beside the Showground/Racecourse complex. Relatively flat except for holes 1/10 and 9/18 which are gently sloping up to and away from the Clubhouse, the course is an easy w

alk for all ages. Being so well established, the course provides abundant shade in the open sections and rainforest trees or large stands of bamboo in the more challenging holes. It is a par 70 Men, 72 Ladies course with an Australian Course Rating of 69 Men, and Womens rating of 70. GolfLink course number is 40611. The spacious timber "Queenslander" style Clubhouse has a fully licensed bar and covered balcony with outdoor barbecue overlooking the 1/10 tee and 9/18 green. The Innisfail Golf Club is a member of the Far North Queensland Golf Association. Membership, with or without annual green fees are available to Men, Ladies and Juniors. Membership fees are extremely affordable.

It is with sadness that the Committee and members of Innisfail Golf Club share the passing of our former greenskeeper, friend, and valued member, Lance.

Our thoughts are with Patsi and the entire family at this difficult time.

Lance dedicated many years to maintaining our course and played a major role in converting our greens to blue couch.

Rest in peace, Lance. Thank you for your years of dedication to our club.

Members and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Lance's life on Monday, 3 August 2026, 1:30 pm at Blacks Funerals.

A wake will follow at the Innisfail Community & Services Club (formerly the Innisfail RSL).

To honour Lance, we invite everyone to wear a solid red collared shirt, representing our club colours, as we form an honour guard in his memory.
