The Tasmania Police Cricket Club (TPCC) was formally established in 2022 to enable serving members of Tasmania Police to represent themselves and their organisation in emergency services cricket com

petitions. This move forward will create opportunities to take part in the championships every two years and potentially host the competition here in Tasmania sometime in the future. The establishment of the club has also created opportunities to take part in other emergency services competitions such as the Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games to be held in New Zealand in 2023. The TPCC is a registered organisation and welcome any serving Tasmanian police officer to become a member, volunteer or just tag-along as a supporter.

And we are back! With our travelling squad locked in and supporters on hand, preparations are well underway for our 2026 campaign. This coming November we will be participating in the 2026 Australia and New Zealand Police Cricket Championships hosted by the AFPCC in Canberra.

To help us get there we have the ongoing support of Police Bank, Miena Estate, and the Maypole Hotel. In addition to this we are welcoming the support of StarFlight, Jackson Motor Company, North City Cars and Cricket Tasmania.

Without the support of the businesses and organisations mentioned above our participation in the championship may not be possible, so please help support those who support us.

As 2022 comes to an end, we just want to take this opportunity put out a big thanks to all those that supported us in 2022. As most would know, it was the first time Tasmania Police has put a cricket team together, and it all happened pretty quickly. From establishing ourselves as a team, identifying sponsors, arranging group travel and making sure we looked the part, we managed to put it all together and played some great cricket on the Gold Coast.
The support we got from home during our November trip was humbling and appreciated. The support we got from our sponsors was outstanding and we wouldn't have got there without you.

***Tasmania Police Finish Competition in 3rd Place***
Today saw the final day of the competition with Tasmania playing for third place against the host state Queensland in a shorter 30/30 format.
The hosts got off to a bumpy start losing three early wickets, but steadily came back to finish their innings all-out for 178 runs.
With some changes to the Tassie batting order, Jack Fennell and Michael Boucher put on an opening 59 run partnership which was followed by a 55* run innings by Nick Grubb.
Despite Tassie's solid start with the bat, the game still went down to the very last ball with Nick Grubb and Anthony Marr doing the business and taking the win.
A big congrats goes to the team and organisers for putting this trip together, and seeing Tasmania Police represented in the competition. Whilst we never doubted our team’s ability, finishing third in our first competition has exceeded the expectations of many and no doubt comes as a shock to the opposition.
Thanks to everyone that has followed us this week, your support is appreciated. Here's to the next trip! Go Tas!

Despite a solid effort in the field this morning, we haven't come away with a win against the Vic's today. This means we don't progress to the grand final tomorrow. We lost a few early wickets, which applied pressure as our batting innings progressed.

That being said, we don't have much to be disappointed about. We arrived here on the Gold Coast as the newbies and underdogs of the competition. We lost our first game by a narrow margin to the strongest team in the competition, and went on to win our next two games. This put us into the semi-final against the Vic's today which unfortunately didn't go our way but was still a rock solid performance.

We have done a great job, and are proud of the fact we managed to put it all together to represent Tasmania Police. We came away, had a great week on the Gold Coast, and upset the apple-cart in the Australia - New Zealand Police Cricket Championships. Go Tas, great work!

Stay tuned tomorrow as we play for a placing!
