Paul Butterworth Racing Paul Butterworth is a young trainer with a desire and will to succeed. Paul has previously worked with legendary trainer Bart Cummings Melbourne stable.

His passion for training was nurtured from his early involvement as a small owner in a horse trained by Peter Moody that he purchased when he was only 18 years old. The horse went onto some success and Paul then started to get more involved with the day to day training. Soon after an opportunity came to work with Barry Miller and further develop his horsemanship skills. After spending 2 years work

ing with Barry, Paul worked his way up to head foreman and soon after moved to legendary trainer Bart Cummings Melbourne stable. Under the guidance of Bart's head foreman Reg Fleming, Paul was left in charge of a number of some very good horses namely Melbourne Cup winner Viewed and Magic Millions winner Mimi Lebrock whilst working in the stable. His next move was to Patrick Payne as head foreman and in charge of a stable of 55 horses. The fast paced working environment further crafted his horsemanship and organizational skills, Whilst with Patrick the stable was able to quinella the 2010 Adelaide cup with Capecover and Kerdem. With many years of quality experience under his belt a decision was made to head north to Brisbane and start training in his own right. With his natural affinity with horses and keen eye for a good horse it wasn't long before the winners started to flow. Handy horses like Lightning Vault and Mako Shark have won many races in recent times and more recently Cash In who was an impressive winner at his only appearance winning a QTIS maiden by 2.5 lengths. With only a small team his strike rate is second to none and no doubt there are many more winners to come. Paul has earned the reputation of being an astute horseman and prides himself on the rejuvenation of many gallopers back to winning form once having joined his stable. Paul Butterworth Racing is backed by a committed team of staff dedicated to provide the best results for their clients.

You don’t always have to win to be proud of your horse! This bloke just tries and arguably should’ve won his last 4 starts! Bad barriers are killing us but he just turns up and tries!
He is very much a weirdo and does things different to most horses and even though he is bm 57 he just keeps turning up, travels 3&4 wide and keeps putting in!
Thanks to all those who have had a go riding him in the morning (loves bolting the boy) but even though he is a challenge I wish they all tried like him 🎯🎯🎯
