A big weekend for our competition team who represented .elite.team and at the Victorian Championships. Many of our team were novice BJJ competitors and for some it was their very first official event. (A few missing from the team pic 🙈)
Daniel and I would like to congratulate each of you for your dedication to training, taking on feedback, pursuing further development outside of class time and for stepping well outside your comfort zones over the weekend.
Brazilian JiuJitsu is not an easy art to learn. Competing is hard. Win or lose, it's gruelling, demanding, humbling and at times unforgiving. Why do we do it then? Every club will tell you, its because of their team, their training partners and the team culture that keeps bring them back to the mats and it fills us with immense pride that we get to set the stage for that magic at Kolora road Heidelberg West. JiuJitsu clubs hit different. We see it at every competition, in our team and in many other clubs who compete with us.
You all fought with so much heart and we're just as proud of those who couldn't compete but showed up to support, cheer and empower our team. You are the ultimate hype crew 🫶🏽
