Check out the latest Hogs Cricket results! 🐗
Stage 1 Girls
The girls played a fantastic game against WCMCC in their first home game at Duncan Fields, although they only took the one wicket in the field there was some really great efforts to shut down the scoring opportunities. With needing 95 runs to win we were behind on the run rate but thanks to some great running between the wickets towards the end of the game the girls secured their first win for the Hogs juniors. Our top scorer’s were Charlotte and Elizabeth with 10 runs each and Charlotte had the best bowling figures with 1/11 off 4 overs.
Stage 2 Girls
The girls made the trek out to Melba to face Radford in their first game of the season on Wednesday. Radford won the toss and elected to bat, despite it being a beautiful sunny day the showers started during the first over. It was not a great introduction to cricket for Hayley, Jigisha, Ella and Ash playing their first game of cricket but the team done well fielding in the showers before lightning halted the game at the end of the 14th over. Radford finished at 2/79 with Hayley taking 2/18 off 3 overs in her first game. With a target of 80 runs off 14 overs the girls fought very hard throughout the innings but fell short finishing 6/66. Our batting was lead by Annie with 13* off 15 balls.
Senior Mens
The senior Men's team kept their undefeated streak going with a hard fought win on Saturday. Batting first they started slowly on a wicket that was very hard to score on. With a burst of boundary's from Matt and Ryan turning the tide and helping them get a solid total of 149. When they went out to field it was near faultless, restricting the batters from the first over. Special mention goes to Lewis who topped the wickets with 4 in total. Constant wickets throughout the innings leading to the Hogs managing to bowl them out for under 100!
Go Hogs! 💛💙
