Fun fact,
two of our award winners had never played before!!!
this was Hayden’s first ever time playing league! We cannot believe how much he improved every single week and can’t imagine where he’d be now if he had started years ago, was an absolute force to be reckoned with in the front row.
Sophia also had never played before and it was pretty evident early on that she had a brain for footy and was quickly thrown in the fullback position. She was a speedy attacker and defender and cool as under a high ball 😎

Thanks to Kath from Nemwir Photography for capturing us on the field as always 💜 we thought our Indigenous Round Jerseys looked pretty good 🫶 The design was a concept between two very talented artists both with ties to our club, Shania Morgan Jamie’s sister designed the base of the jersey & our very own men’s halfback Jory Darrigo drew the Gugaa that featured on the front. Big ups to the girls yesterday who played with short numbers again yesterday, and our men for a nail biter win 💜💜

Biggest shout out to our very own Azza 🤌
Whilst he will be so missed tomorrow when we come up against the NC Bears, you can catch him playing at Allianz stadium tomorrow for the NSW Indigenous Police Team in the curtain raiser to the Rabbitohs Vs Eels Game. We couldn’t be prouder of the big deadly Fiery Ho**er 🫡 wish him luck in the comments!

As part of our Googong Goannas Indigenous Round, we’re excited to be holding a 100 Club Fundraiser, with one lucky winner taking home a stunning original artwork, “Connected Waterholes”, by Aboriginal artist Shania Morgan.

This beautiful piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and the story behind the artwork, making it a truly special keepsake.

🎟 How it works:

* Purchase an entry into our 100 Club.
* $20 a ticket
* Your name (not a number) will go into the draw.
* Every entrant’s name will be printed onto individual tickets so everyone can see all entries for complete transparency.
* The names will then be entered into a random generator live on Facebook.

📅 The winner will be drawn on Saturday, 4 July, during our Indigenous Round.

Can’t make it to the game? No worries! We’ll be live on Facebook, so everyone can watch the draw from wherever they are.

This is a great opportunity to support our club while celebrating Aboriginal culture and having the chance to own an incredible piece of authentic artwork.
