Seven months ago, Anita reached out with a simple goal: she wanted to feel strong again.
At the time, our focus was completely different. We were working towards body composition goals, improving overall fitness, and even preparing for Australian Survivor trials. Powerlifting wasn’t part of the plan.
But as time went on, we made a big decision. We changed direction, committed to the process, and started building towards strength. Not just bigger numbers on the bar, but better movement, better control, more confidence, and a healthier relationship with training.
Over the last seven months, the majority of this journey has been completed through online coaching, with the occasional helping hand in the gym. What makes yesterday so special is that it wasn’t built on endless face-to-face sessions. It was built on trust, consistency, communication, and Anita’s willingness to show up week after week and do the work.
Yesterday, all of that hard work came together.
✅ Squat: 30kg → 72.5kg PB
✅ Bench: 25kg → 45kg PB
✅ Deadlift: Never deadlifted before → 100kg PB
More importantly, every lift was performed with confidence, control, and composure. No missed lifts. No panic. Just trust in the preparation.
As a coach, these are the moments you live for. Watching someone go from doubting themselves to walking onto a platform and proving exactly what they’re capable of is something special.
I’m incredibly proud of the work Anita has put in, not just physically but mentally. She backed herself, trusted the process, and when it mattered most, she delivered.
This is not the finish line.
This is just the beginning.
The sky is the limit. 🚀
Proud coach. Proud athlete. Huge future ahead.
