Echunga Tennis Club’s first ever Country Carnival — and what a debut. 🎾

Two days. Grass to clay. Sunshine on tap.
Memorial Drive served up perfect weather and brand-new challenges… especially the clay, which most of us discovered feels remarkably similar to playing tennis on ball bearings. Sliding optional. Survival mandatory.

Team Echunga: Rachel, Pete, Tania, Penny and Ron — equal parts grit, laughs and “did that just skid sideways?” moments. First time on clay for every player, which made every rally an adventure and every clean shot feel like winning Wimbledon.

Huge thanks to Jo Casey from Hills Tennis for pulling the Hills teams together and making the whole carnival hum like a well-strung racquet.

No trophies required.
Just great courts, great company, and the kind of weekend that reminds you why local sport is magic. 🌿☀️

Echunga showed up, slid around, and loved every minute.

🎾 **What a night!** We had 11 fantastic players hit the courts at our latest social evening—and the energy was ace! Huge thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a fun, friendly hit-around.

💥 But now we’ve got a challenge for the Hills tennis community: let’s double it next time! That’s right—**22 players** is the new target. Whether you’re a seasoned sw***er or just keen for a casual rally, we want YOU on court.

🍻 And yes, the bar will be open—because great tennis deserves a great post-match drink.
