Hahndorf Soccer Club The Magpies. Est. 1979. Our women’s, men’s and over 35’s teams compete against sides from across metropolitan Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills.

With a proud history as one of the largest and strongest clubs in the Adelaide Hills, Hahndorf Soccer Club has been providing sporting opportunities for the local community since 1979. We aim to field junior girls and boys teams in all age groups of the Adelaide Hills Junior Football Association, and we champion all-abilities inclusive football. Our reputation for being a well-organised club with good facilities, qualified coaches and well designed training programs attracts players and supporters from across the region.

⚽️U15 League Results + Best and Fairest Nominations

A successful season for Blackwood Forest, finishing in first and second place followed by F.C Summit in third. The U15 competition was made up of 10 teams that came with some surprise results throughout the course of the season.

Everyone is welcome to attend the AHJFA Presentation Day, which will be held on Saturday, the afternoon of the 19th of September. The League Winner and Runner-Up will receive an award. Any B&F nominee is encouraged to attend. There’s a chocolate bar in it for you – win, lose or draw.

MATCH REPORT | Sunday 13 September 2026
Senior Women - Division 4

Hahndorf 1 v Adelaide Uni 0

On Sunday Hahndorf Senior women arrived at the Adelaide University hockey fields to play the last Div 4 game of the season. During warmup Uni advised that there may not even be a game due to a booking issue with the pitches. Luckily after moving a cricket game to make an extra pitch available, the game could go on. The team was very excited as it was Jarred Arsie’s last game as head coach.

The game kicked off with a fun line up of ever reliable keeper Kenadee Ryan in Goal, defensive line of Jen Krauss, Claudia Kerr, Sarah Mansfield, Darcy Watts. Kate Neaylon held firm in Defensive Mid supported by Lynley Driver and Sophie Correll. Victoria Beare and Isabel Mayer were on the wings and Lauren Marwede started in striker.

Hahndorf took a few minutes at the beginning of the game to adjust to the new positions. There were many substitutions throughout the game from the wonderful bench of Mia Retallack, Mima van der Linden, Zara Tinsley-Smith and Steph Gilbert. This was very appreciated as there were many tired bodies on the pitch after a long season. Tinsley-Smith came on to the wing and instantly brought pace to the attack. A combination between Gilbert and Tinsley-Smith in the box, finished in a beautiful goal for Hahndorf, a positive start. There was a lot of play back and forth for the remainder of the first half. Hahndorf producing several shots from many of the attackers, unfortunately not finding the back of the net.

After a refresh at half time the team came out firing, pushing the Uni goal keeper to make many saves including a questionable catch that may have been over the line but not seen by either the ref or the linesman. With constant pushes forward Hahndorf was unable to add another score to their tally, but did display their strong defensive structure throughout the whole game. The whistle blew at 0-1 for a win to Hahndorf finishing the season well. Thank you to Jarred for his many years of service.

Senior Men, CSL 3D - ROUND 21

Hahndorf 3D vs Vipers 3D

The final game arrived for the season with Hahndorf travelling away to St Clair Oval. The day was clear and sunny with a dry pitch. Hahndorf arrived with an unfortunate 10 men but was able to hold their own in the first half scoring 1-0. A nice strike across the goal from Aidan Miller was saved and Kyle Fenlon was able to follow the deflection into the back of the net. Many attempts from Vipers was closed down and Tim Brown-Pichugin in goal kept Hahndorf well in the game.

The second half brought a very fatigued Hahndorf side in the heat. Hahndorf were able to hold on for a short time but Vipers came out strong for the second half and managed to make it 1-1. Vipers quickly turned on after scoring their first and proceeded to put Hahndorf under pressure. A quick counter turned into an unfortunate tackle from the defence and a penalty was given to Vipers, 2-1.

Hahndorf was able to counter well at times but unfortunately wasn’t able to place the ball in the back of the net. The lack of players on the Hahndorf side proved brutal as the game wore on and Vipers took advantage of this, proceeding to score consecutively 3 more goals leaving the game 5-1 and finishing the season with a loss.

Congratulations to the Hahndorf U15s, taking out the top spot in the Competitive Juniors Carnival yesterday in Strathalbyn! The hard-fought final against Murray Bridge went to extra time before ending in a 1-0 win for the Magpies - well done team & Coach Cooper 🖤🤍💛

Senior Women - Division 6

Hahndorf 1 v Flinders 1

Sunday afternoon saw Hahndorf’s Division 6 ladies take to the pitch for their final game of the season against Flinders. With plenty of energy, determination, and team spirit, the ladies were ready to finish the season on a high.

Nikita Hyder started in goals, supported by a determined defensive line of Kiri Brown, Mia Retallack, Jennifer Krauss, and Madison Anning. Controlling the midfield were Nicole Canniford, Teika Jones, and Kenadee Ryan, whilst Claire Muller, Ashleigh Tarling, and Jemima van der Linden pushed forward in attack. Cailin Wheeler, Karla Young, Lynley Driver, and Victoria Beare provided strong options from the bench.

Hahndorf started strongly, working hard to move the ball around the pitch and create opportunities going forward. The midfield battled hard for possession and looked to link up with the forwards, whilst the defensive line remained composed and worked together to shut down Flinders’ attacking opportunities. As the first half progressed, Hahndorf began to create several promising opportunities in attack. Krauss came close to finding the back of the net after a strong attacking move, narrowly missing the chance as Hahndorf continued to apply pressure. The pressure eventually paid off, with van der Linden finding the back of the net to give Hahndorf the lead. It was a particularly special moment for van der Linden, scoring her first goal of the season. Flinders continued to fight back, and later in the first half were awarded a chance from the spot following a handball from Hahndorf. Flinders made no mistake, finding the back of the net and bringing the game level at 1-1.

With the second half underway, both teams continued to battle hard in what became an evenly contested game. Canniford, Jones, and Ryan worked tirelessly through the midfield, helping to win possession and drive the ball forward. Muller, Tarling, and van der Linden continued to make strong runs forward and put pressure on the Flinders defence. The Hahndorf backline remained composed throughout the second half, with Brown, Retallack, Krauss, and Anning working hard to keep Flinders’ attack under control. Hyder was also kept busy in goals, helping Hahndorf remain firmly in the contest. The bench made an impact throughout the second half, with Wheeler, Young, and Driver bringing fresh legs and energy when called upon. The whole team continued to work hard for one another, fighting for every ball and creating opportunities at both ends of the pitch. Neither side could find the winning goal despite plenty of determination and effort in the closing stages, with the final whistle bringing the match to an end at 1-1.

Hahndorf will be celebrating their season at a presentation dinner on Saturday 19th September at the German Arms.
