No trials are required — teams will be finalised for the Summer Season.

That’s a wrap on the regular season, Crusaders! 💙🏀

Our final round has been played, and now the focus shifts to the SEMI FINALS! 🔥

Throughout the season, our Player of the Match recipients have shown us what it truly means to wear the Crusaders jersey — bringing the effort, energy, teamwork and determination every time they step on the court.

Do you know the story behind our jersey? 💙

With our new reversible jerseys now available to our players, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to share the meaning behind the design and the story it represents.

The design was inspired by one of our core club values — BELONGING. 💙

At the centre of each major circle is the individual player, represented by the light blue circle. Surrounding them are 8 connecting people, representing their teammates and coach.

The layers and circles moving outward represent the people who support each player throughout their journey at Crusaders — their parents, Team Managers, family and fellow members of our club community.

Surrounding the player like a circle represents being nurtured, supported and safe, while knowing that you have a place where you belong.

The major circles are also connected by lines of dots, representing the connections between each person — bringing together not only the team, but our entire Crusaders community.

🏀 Every player has a place.
⚔️ Every player is connected.
💙 Every player belongs.

Our Crusaders community is strong because of the people within it, and this jersey is a reminder that no one journeys alone.

This is more than a jersey. It’s a story of connection, support and belonging. 💙⚔️

The business end of the season is here! With just ONE round to go before the finals, every training session, every possession and every effort matters.

Every game tells a story—but the best stories are built long before the ball is tipped.

They’re built through the players who show up ready to work. The ones who listen, learn, encourage their teammates, battle through adversity and never stop looking for ways to improve.

This week’s Player of the Match recipients showed that spirit in everything they did. They competed with purpose, embraced the tough moments, played for each other and showed the kind of attitude that makes a team stronger.

Being a Crusader isn’t about being perfect. It’s about bringing your best, learning from every experience and making the people around you better. Congratulations to this week’s Player of the Match recipients! Your effort and attitude deserve to be celebrated.

⭐️🏀Coach's Highlight🏀⭐️

This week the spotlight is on one of our newest coaches this season, Coach Paul! Paul has embraced the opportunity to step into his role as Co-Coach of our U10B team with enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a passion for helping our young players grow.

We’re excited to have Coach Paul as part of the Crusaders family and look forward to seeing the positive impact he’ll have both on and off the court. 💙🏀

1️⃣ How long have you been involved in basketball, and what made you want to become a coach?
🏀4 years as a parent , spectator. 1st year as a 🏀 coach. I got involved because I enjoy contributing to a team & club culture.

2️⃣ What's your favourite thing about coaching at Crusaders?
🏀I love watching the kids use skills they learn at training in games on a Saturday morning. I also love how Crusaders players from different teams & age groups all support eachother.

3️⃣ What is one lesson you hope every player learns from being on your team?
🏀That scoring points is only one part of the game. The less celebrated skills like defensive positioning, early passing & moving without the ball are just as important.

4️⃣ What was your most memorable basketball moment as a player or coach?
🏀Stepping in as assistant coach for a few games at U12 State Champs a few years ago was pretty cool. Also doing some off the court mindset & resilience coaching with a Red City U16 team this year was very rewarding.

5️⃣ If your players could describe you in three words, what would they be?
🏀Encouraging. Fun. Old 😂

6️⃣ Who is your basketball idol, and why?
🏀Too hard to pick 1. Being a teenager in the 90’s Michael Jordan was unbelievable with his freakish drive, determination & ability. Giannis Antetokounmpo’s story inspired me with his rise from poverty to NBA Championship & MVP. I also can’t help but be impressed by Le Bron’s longevity & the way he looks after himself on & off the court.

7️⃣ What do you enjoy doing when you're not on the basketball court?
🏀Staying active, running, hiking spending time outside. Watching sports (Basketball, Football, AFL) Basically if there is a ball involved I’ll watch it!

8️⃣ Finish this sentence:
💙 "Being a Crusader means..." Being a Crusader means learning & growing together so we can make a valuable contribution to our team, club & community both on & off the court 💪

Expressions of Interest are now open for Head Coach positions across our:

This is an opportunity to be part of the next chapter of RedCity Roar - developing players, building competitive teams and creating a strong pathway into senior basketball.

Champions aren’t made in a single game. They’re built through the small moments—the extra effort at training, the willingness to learn, the courage to keep going when things get tough, and the choice to put the team before yourself.

This week’s Player of the Match recipients showed exactly what it means to be a Crusader. They brought energy, determination, resilience and heart to the court, while supporting their teammates and embracing every challenge along the way.

Because being a great basketball player is about more than scoring points. It’s about work ethic, attitude, leadership, teamwork and the desire to keep getting better. Keep pushing. Keep learning. Keep believing. And most importantly, keep lifting those around you.

What a great game between our two U14 Boys teams, Glory and Legacy! 🙌

A fantastic display of teamwork, sportsmanship, and the true Crusaders spirit. Watching our players encourage each other, compete hard, and enjoy the opportunity to verse their mates was awesome to see.

The scoreboard may separate the two teams on the day, but the friendships, growth, and love for the game bring us together. 💙🏀

Well done boys — keep supporting each other and representing Crusaders with pride! ⚔️🏀
