That’s a wrap on the Alivio Tourist Park Canberra 2026 June Long Weekend Carnival! 🏑

What an incredible weekend of hockey, bringing together teams, players, coaches, officials, volunteers and supporters from across the region and surrounds for three days of competition, connection and memories.

A huge thank you to all of the associations who travelled to Canberra and made this year's carnival such a fantastic event. Your passion, sportsmanship and commitment are what make the June Long Weekend Carnival one of the highlights of the hockey calendar.

We would also like to sincerely thank the many staff, volunteers, umpires, coaches, team managers and venue staff whose hard work behind the scenes helped deliver another successful carnival. Events like this simply wouldn't be possible without your dedication.

This year's carnival was also a special one as we celebrated the final June Long Weekend Carnival for three special members of the Hockey ACT team – Rob Sheekey, Jolly Moore and Marcelle Keet.

Between them, they have contributed decades of service to hockey in the ACT, helping shape countless carnivals, programs and experiences for athletes, officials and families. Thank you for everything you have done for our hockey community and for the lasting impact you leave on our sport.

We hope everyone got home safe, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Canberra in 2027! 💙🏑
