🔥 Thrive Race Results – Community, Racing & Podiums 🔥
Over the past few weeks, the Thrive team has once again been proud to be supporting local events, racing hard, and backing the communities that keep our sport alive.
🚵 Alpine Cycling Club Mountain Bike Series
After a string of hot Tuesday night races, the series wrapped up with an outstanding result from Tay Jack, who took 1st place overall in the A-grade Women’s category. An incredible display of consistency and toughness across the series. 👏🔥
☀️ Western Australia Sprint Triathlon – State Championships
Over in WA, Catherine Beeson lined up for the Sprint State Championships and delivered a huge race, picking up a strong 2nd place, literally pipped on the line. A great reminder of why short-course racing is so exciting and why Catherine loves it so much. 💪🔥
🚴 Echuca Triathlon Club Sprint
A staple on the country racing calendar, Echuca once again delivered a tough and competitive day.
Donna Todd continued her strong form, stepping onto the podium and showing great run legs once again.
Chris McGrath didn’t quite have his best day out, but took plenty of lessons from the race that would soon pay off.
Richie H**e put together a solid performance in a deep field.
Sadly, Blake Tavern was forced to break his long-standing streak of consistent racing after a work-related injury. We’re wishing Blake a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on course soon. 💚
🌬️ Shepparton HEXman Triathlon
After a week of 40-degree days, the triathlon gods turned kind, delivering cooler conditions, strong winds, and some seriously hot racing. It was fantastic to see the Shepparton HEXman back on the calendar.
Sarah Lee dominated her local race, taking 1st female overall.
Charlie and Bailey White both stepped onto the podium, with Bailey continuing his lucky run in the new Thrive suit, two races and two podiums.
Zach Anderson, coming off a big training block as he builds toward Ironman New Zealand, used the race as a perfect triathlon hit-out. A solid tune-up with a couple of big weeks of training still to come.
Chris McGrath delivered his best race yet, backing up a great swim with a consistent performance to claim his first podium. A huge breakthrough, putting the lessons learned at Echuca into place.
Donna Todd, backing up from Echuca, also took on the Aquabike, showing impressive durability across back-to-back weekends.
Finally, a massive shout-out to the Thrive community members who volunteered their time helping run the Echuca and Shepparton events. These races don’t happen without people stepping up, and we’re proud to support and be part of those local communities.
🏊 Brighton Australia Day Swim
Zach Anderson also jumped into the Brighton Australia Day Swim, getting some much-needed open water work done and another quality hit-out as he continues to build toward Ironman New Zealand.
Racing, learning, podiums, and giving back.
This is what Thrive is all about. 💚🧡
