Men’s High Performance Coach (Playing Role)
Elsternwick Cricket Club is seeking a driven and experienced Men’s High Performance Coach (playing role) to join our senior program.
Elsternwick Cricket Club is a proud and progressive club competing in the VSDCA and Cricket Southern Bayside, fielding six senior men’s teams 2025/26. The club enjoyed a standout 2025/26 season with all VSDCA side playing finals and winning the: VSDCA Club Championship, Men’s VSDCA Division 1 3rd XI premiership and Men’s CSB Division 9 premiership, reflecting both on-field success and depth across all grades.
We pride ourselves on a strong, values-driven culture, consistently recognised across the competition. The club has regularly finished in the top five of the VSDCA Spirit of Cricket Award, including a 4th place finish in 2025/26, highlighting our commitment to playing the game the right way.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping a strong, competitive environment while contributing on-field. Working closely with the Head Coach, you will help deliver a high-performance culture that supports player development, accountability, and success at the highest level of club cricket.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Head Coach in planning and delivering high-quality training sessions
• Provide technical and tactical coaching to senior players with a specific focus on higher grades
• Foster a professional, high-performance environment
• Contribute as a player within the Men’s 1st XI
• Assist in match-day preparation, strategy, and review
About You
• Strong understanding of high-performance cricket environments
• Previous coaching experience (formal or informal)
• Experience in Premier Cricket or equivalent highly regarded
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Passion for developing players and driving standards
