Senior Women’s Assistant Coach

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and committed Senior Women’s Assistant Coach to support the continued growth and success of our senior women’s program. This role will work closely with the Head Coach to develop players, deliver high-quality training sessions, and contribute to a positive and inclusive environment. This can be a playing or non-playing role.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Head Coach in planning and delivering engaging and effective training sessions
• Support the development of individual players and the team as a whole
• Attend all scheduled training sessions and match days
• Provide feedback, guidance, and encouragement to players
• Contribute to game-day preparation, strategy, and in-game decision making
• Help foster a positive, inclusive, and professional team culture
• Assist with administrative and organisational tasks as required

About You
• Strong passion for women’s sport and player development
• Previous playing and coaching experience (preferred but not essential)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching team
• Reliable and committed to attending trainings and games
• Relevant coaching accreditation (or willingness to obtain)

Men’s High Performance Coach (Playing Role)

Elsternwick Cricket Club is seeking a driven and experienced Men’s High Performance Coach (playing role) to join our senior program.

Elsternwick Cricket Club is a proud and progressive club competing in the VSDCA and Cricket Southern Bayside, fielding six senior men’s teams 2025/26. The club enjoyed a standout 2025/26 season with all VSDCA side playing finals and winning the: VSDCA Club Championship, Men’s VSDCA Division 1 3rd XI premiership and Men’s CSB Division 9 premiership, reflecting both on-field success and depth across all grades.

We pride ourselves on a strong, values-driven culture, consistently recognised across the competition. The club has regularly finished in the top five of the VSDCA Spirit of Cricket Award, including a 4th place finish in 2025/26, highlighting our commitment to playing the game the right way.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping a strong, competitive environment while contributing on-field. Working closely with the Head Coach, you will help deliver a high-performance culture that supports player development, accountability, and success at the highest level of club cricket.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the Head Coach in planning and delivering high-quality training sessions
• Provide technical and tactical coaching to senior players with a specific focus on higher grades
• Foster a professional, high-performance environment
• Contribute as a player within the Men’s 1st XI
• Assist in match-day preparation, strategy, and review

About You
• Strong understanding of high-performance cricket environments
• Previous coaching experience (formal or informal)
• Experience in Premier Cricket or equivalent highly regarded
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Passion for developing players and driving standards

We’re excited to announce that Bailey Peacock has been appointed as Head Coach of our Men’s, Women’s and JG Craig programs for the 2026/27 season.

Bailey has been an integral part of the club throughout 2025/26, serving as a senior assistant coach across both our men’s and women’s programs, while also leading our Under 15s. During this time, he has demonstrated an exceptional cricket IQ, created high-quality training and match-day environments, and built strong relationships across the club.

His coaching background includes roles as Head Coach at Bedminster (UK) and Etham (VIC), as well as experience within the Somerset County Cricket Club Pathway. Bailey brings a wealth of knowledge, along with a genuine passion for developing players both technically and tactically.

We’re thrilled to have Bailey leading our program and look forward to what’s ahead.

We would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank Tom Collins for his outstanding contribution as our senior men’s and women’s coach over the past two seasons. Tom has played a pivotal role in shaping our senior programs, fostering a strong culture, and driving on-field success across the club.

His impact is reflected in an incredible list of achievements, including the VSDCA Club Championship in 2025/26, back-to-back Men’s 3rd XI premierships in 2024/25 and 2025/26, and the Men’s 5th XI premiership in 2025/26. Beyond the results, Tom’s dedication, leadership, and commitment to player development have left a lasting mark on our club.

We thank Tom for everything he has contributed, he’s built friendships that will last a lifetime. 💙
