Early bird registrations for the U12 Country Skills Days are now open!

The 2026 Country Skills Days will be held on Saturday 25th July and Sunday 26th July at 10 regional academies across Victoria.

These Skill Day events are part of a development program for players of all abilities and standards from all associations located in regional Victoria. This will be an opportunity for identified athletes to be selected to participate in the U12 Country Jamboree in Echuca in September!

This National Volunteer Week, we want to say a massive thank you to every volunteer across our basketball community. 🏀❤️

You show up, week after week, giving your time, energy and passion to make basketball happen for everyone. From the sidelines to the score bench, from the training court to the committee room, none of it happens without you.

To every coach, driver, administrator and helper behind the scenes, what you do matters more than you know.

Hey all,

Men's Social Basketball Is Back! Thursday nights 6:30pm- 7:30pm (times may change if other groups have booked the court. (This week - April 30th 7.30 start if we get the numbers).

Please see the new guidelines for our Thursday night pick up social basketball.

-Players wishing to play Thursday night rock-up can purchase a 6-week pack for $60 by following the below Play HQ registration link.

-If there are new players just wanting to try for one week, they must register with BV & BA and purchase the $5 one-week trial.

-All players must have paid their affiliation fees (registration) with Basketball Victoria $48.00 (17 & Under is $34.00) and Basketball Australia $5.50, as this is where individual and association insurance comes from. This is required even if the player is only trying for the one-week pack.

- This is a relaxed fun competition, but we also just need to ensure that the association by-laws are adhered to. This is especially critical where players must not to wear loose fitting clothing or clothing with pockets, this also includes hoodies.

Basketball has officially claimed top spot as Victoria’s number one participation sport for 2025 in the Sporting Schools Program! It's Victoria’s number one participation sport for 2025 - across ALL sports🙌

📊 61,528 school kids participated last year through Sporting Schools

✅ 441 programs delivered (Rank #1)

Thanks to our incredible coaches Don and Tim, our youngest hooper's had an unforgettable season. Finishing up last Monday with a phenomenal game, zooper doopers and ice cream vouchers from the Bright Ice Creamery We look forward to seeing you all again in term 4, tell your friends 🏀🏀🏀

CELEBRATING OUR SEASONS CHAMPIONS SO FAR!

🏆🏆 Mens - Magic 41 def Allstars 28, with Paul H shining as Best on Court. Lachie R takes home the Season MVP award.

🏆🏆Inters - Kings 71 def Miners 56 in an overtime thriller, with Harry W delivering an outstanding performance.

We extend our gratitude to our Umpires and scorers for their tireless efforts throughout the season.
It was fantastic to see our community coming together to enjoy some exceptional basketball. We're already looking forward to next season's exciting possibilities already! 🏀

No Basketball Monday night. Hoops and junior training will be back on the 16th.
Juniors will play Tuesday as normal, check myhoops for game times.
We would love a crowd at the Inters and Mens Grand Finals on Thursday night.
