With the Swan Trophy and State Figure Skating Championship coming up, there will be some changes to our regular skating sessions from this weekend.

If you’re planning a visit to Cockburn Ice Arena during the school holidays, please check our session timetable before heading in and schedule your visit accordingly.

🏆 SWAN TROPHY 2026 IS ALMOST HERE! 🦢⛸️

From 26–30 September, Cockburn Ice Arena will be packed with some of WA’s most exciting figure skating as the Swan Trophy International & Champ Series 2026 hits the ice.

This year’s event brings together two competitions across five days, including the second Swan Trophy International Competition to be held in Western Australia, alongside the annual Champ Series.

Expect the rink to be anything but quiet. Big jumps, fast spins, intricate footwork, spectacular programs and those split-second moments where everything comes down to one landing. 👀

For the skaters, it’s the result of months of training. For everyone watching, it’s five days of competition worth getting rink-side for.
And yes, spectators are FREE! 🙌

Come down, support the skaters and experience the atmosphere of competition at CIA.

A huge congratulations to all the skaters who took to the ice for INSYNC by Ice Synchro WA! ⛸️💙

From impressive formations to perfectly timed moves, it was fantastic to see so many talented skaters come together and put on a brilliant display on the ice.

A big thank you to Ice Synchro WA, the coaches, officials, volunteers, families and everyone who came along to support the skaters. 👏

You all helped make it a fantastic day at Cockburn Ice Arena!

🌟SHOUT-OUT: ISLA! 🌟

Say hello to Isla! 👋😊 You’ll find her serving up smiles at the Frostbite Café and helping out with Skate Hire here at Cockburn Ice Arena. ⛸️☕️

Isla joined the CIA team about 1.5 years ago, after a figure skating friend passed along our email address when we had a job opening, and we’re so glad she did! ❤️

As you can probably tell from that smile, Isla gets along with just about everyone! 😊 She loves the people she works with and the welcoming community we have here at CIA.

In her words: “As soon as you come in, everyone is so easy to talk to.” 🫶

Outside of CIA, Isla keeps busy playing netball, heading to the beach, and studying Sports Science at the University of Notre Dame. 🏐🌊📚

And one of her favourite perks of working at the Café? Getting a front-row view of all the action when we have figure skating competitions on the ice! ⛸️✨

Thanks for being such a friendly face around CIA, Isla! We’re lucky to have you on the team. ❤️

Huge news, Hana Bath, home grown figure skater from Cockburn Ice has won a Grand Prix. This is a huge achievement and has not been done before by an Aussie. ♻️💚 Small actions can make a big difference!

We’ve kicked off our Containers for Change campaign at Cockburn Ice Arena, putting our container refunds towards some amazing causes, with a new organisation selected each month.

For our first month, we’re proud to be supporting Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre! 🖤

Kaarakin is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and conservation of WA’s black cockatoos, helping protect these special birds for generations to come.

We’re delighted to support their work and turn our empty containers into something that gives back to our community and environment. 🌿

A huge congratulations to the Garden Island Pirates Para Ice Hockey Club on being featured in Hard as Puck! 🙌 What an incredible moment for the team and everyone involved.
