🌱 Spring Greens Renovations at Beresfield Golf ⛳
Over the past few weeks, our team has been hard at work completing our annual spring greens renovation program, an important step in improving the long-term health and performance of our putting surfaces.
The process included double scarification, oversowing with bent grass seed, topdressing with sand, fertilising, and carefully managed irrigation. While it might not look pretty straight away, these works are laying the foundation for stronger, healthier greens in the months ahead.
We’re optimistic that this year’s renovation program will produce much better results than our earlier oversowing efforts, which faced some challenging conditions including extreme heat followed by significant flooding. Unfortunately, those weather events slowed turf establishment and recovery, but we’re now entering our first full growing season at Bero and are excited about what warmer weather will bring.
Quality greens aren’t built overnight. Creating healthy, resilient putting surfaces takes time, patience, and consistency, but we’re seeing positive signs and are confident we’re moving in the right direction.
