An hour to slow down, breathe and quiet the mind. 🧘

Meditation is coming to Monday Club, with Gina Willison leading our new weekly classes.

If you’ve never tried meditation before, you’ll be very welcome. And if it’s already part of your life, there’ll be plenty to explore too.

Gina will guide you through different styles of meditation, bringing together ancient traditions and modern research in a calm, relaxed environment.

There’s no religious element to the classes and all backgrounds are welcome. Come in, take a seat and enjoy an hour to slow down, breathe and have some time for yourself.

✨ Your first introduction session is complimentary.

📍 Monday Club, Balmain
📅 Tuesdays, 10am–11am, from 13 October

What does strength training look like when you have osteopenia?

Jill put the question to Nathan, one of our Accredited Exercise Physiologists, while giving the leg press a go at Monday Club.

Building strength can play an important role in supporting your bones, muscles and everyday movement as you get older.

And as Jill discovers, getting stronger can be pretty enjoyable too. 😊

Want to give strength training a go? Come and meet us at Monday Club in Balmain.

A little piece of Balmain history for your Sunday.

Did you know four Victoria Cross recipients called Balmain home?

Their stories span the Crimean War, the First World War and the Second World War, and today they’re remembered locally at Loyalty Place, just outside Woolworths.

It’s one of those remarkable pieces of history sitting right here in our neighbourhood that you could easily walk past without knowing the story behind it.

Four meals from one roast chicken and a pretty lovely Friday afternoon in Balmain. 🍽️

Ten of us gathered by the water for a Cooking for One session with Monday Club member and retired Women’s Day Food Director, Jennene Plummer.

Jennene showed us how to turn one roast chicken into four simple meals with very little waste. Then, of course, we sat down together to enjoy the results.

Good food, a glass of w**e, plenty of conversation and a few new ideas to take home. This is what Monday Club is all about learning something, meeting people and enjoying yourself along the way.

We’ll be doing more cooking classes and lunches soon.

If this looks like your kind of afternoon, come and be part of Monday Club.

Think you need to know the steps before joining a dance class? Absolutely not. 💃🕺

Paul’s Dance Club is about good music, good people and having a bit of fun while you move.

You’ll recognise songs from decades of memories and good times, meet new people and probably have a few laughs along the way.

You don't have to get every step right. Just come along and join in.

And if you’ve been thinking about giving it a go, your first class is complimentary. 😊

Come and have a look around Monday Club 👋

Chris and Jill created Monday Club because they wanted a place where getting older could be about feeling good, staying strong and enjoying yourself along the way.

You can do your strength training on our AO80 circuit, join one of our fitness classes, have a dance, grab a coffee or simply stop for a chat.

It’s fitness, fun and social all in one place. And hopefully, a bit of a happy place too. 😊

Watch the video but even better, come and see it for yourself.
