🏏 JUNIOR TRAINING STARTS TODAY! 🖤💛

The first junior training session of the 2026/27 season is on this afternoon, and our coaches are ready to get things underway.

📅 Wednesday 9 September
🕟 4:30pm – 6:00pm

All junior age groups will train together for this first session:

🏏 Under 10s
🏏 Under 12s
🏏 Under 14s
🏏 Under 16s

Following our recent coaching announcements, there’s plenty of excitement to get the groups together and start building towards the season ahead.

New and returning players are all welcome. If your child is thinking about giving cricket a go, they’re welcome to come along and try a session before committing.

No gear yet? No problem — the club will have equipment available to use.

🏏 SENIOR TRAINING TOMORROW 🖤💛

Another Sunday of AVCC senior pre-season training is coming up tomorrow.

🕝 2:30pm – 4:40pm
📍 Harris Head Big Shed, Trinity College
18–20 Alexander Avenue, Evanston Park

Pre-season is a great chance to get some work in before the season starts, catch up with the group and build towards another strong summer at Angle Vale.

As always, new and returning players are welcome.

🏏 Competitive through to social cricket
🏏 No problem if you haven’t been to a session yet — just come along

🏏 JUNIOR TRAINING STARTS NEXT WEDNESDAY! 🖤💛

The wait is nearly over — our first junior training session of the 2026/27 season is coming up next Wednesday, and there’s plenty of excitement around the club to get started.

📅 Wednesday 9 September
🕟 4:30pm – 6:00pm

For this first session, all of our junior age groups will train together:

🏏 Under 10s
🏏 Under 12s
🏏 Under 14s
🏏 Under 16s

Following our recent junior coaching announcements, our coaches are looking forward to getting the groups together, seeing plenty of familiar faces and welcoming some new players into the club.

New players are very welcome to come and try. No previous cricket experience is needed, and the club will have cricket gear available for anyone who doesn’t have their own yet.

With pre-season underway and the 2026/27 season getting closer, now is the time to get your senior registration completed.

Angle Vale Cricket Club welcomes new and returning senior players of all abilities, with opportunities across our grades for players looking for competitive cricket through to a more social game.

Registrations now available include:

✅ Full Senior Season Memberships
✅ Discounted Under 18 Senior Registration
✅ Pay in instalments now available through PlayHQ

The instalment option can be selected when you reach the Review & Confirm page during registration.

Approved Junior Coaches and Life Members should contact John Richardson for the discount code required before registering.

Angle Vale Cricket Club’s Cricket Blast program is back this October and is a great way for young children to get involved in the game.

Aimed at boys and girls aged 5–8, the program focuses on fun, movement, basic cricket skills and building confidence in a relaxed environment.

📅 First session: Friday 16 October
🕔 5:00pm
⏱️ Around 1 hour
📍 Angle Vale Cricket Club

No previous cricket experience is needed, and both new and returning participants are welcome.

With strong participation last season, initial registration numbers are capped, so families interested in joining are encouraged to secure a place early.

🏏 AVCC 2026/27 COMMITTEE & CLUB ROLES 🖤💛

Following our recent Annual General Meeting, we’re pleased to confirm a number of key positions for the 2026/27 season.

The two Executive Committee positions up for election were:

🖤 Vice President — Jon Pogas
💛 Club Secretary — Jimmy Kelly

Both were voted in to continue in their roles for the season ahead.

John Richardson was also re-appointed to the Committee for a further two-year term.

A number of other club responsibilities have also been confirmed:

A number of cricket roles are still being finalised, including Senior Training Coordinator, Junior Coordinator, Senior Captains and Junior Coaches, with further announcements to come.

The AGM also formally endorsed Aaron Meredith as our 2025/26 Life Member, while the club’s updated Constitution was approved.

Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM and to all those who continue to give their time to support the club.

We’re getting ready to kick off the 2026/27 junior season, with our first training session coming up:

There’s just 1 day left to secure Angle Vale Cricket Club’s $99 junior early bird registration for the 2026/27 season.

If your child is planning to play this summer, now is the time to get their registration completed before the offer closes on 31 August.

The $99 registration includes:

✅ Cricket Australia national registration fee
✅ Player insurance
✅ No weekly match fees or ongoing playing fees
✅ Discounts for second and third children

Junior teams available:

🏏 Under 10s & Under 12s — Friday evenings
🏏 Under 14s & Under 16s — Saturday mornings
