It was the ladies turn to shine on Sunday for the 1770 Ladies Open with a great field in attendance. Thank you to our sponsors, Ray from Zone Golf and Mizuno who supported both our Mens & Ladies Open for 2026. It was great to see the support from so many clubs in our district also, stretching from Yeppoon, Rockhampton, Biloela, Gladstone, Boyne/Tannum, Calliope, Miriam Vale and down to Bargara. Sandy Davison came out on top this year to take out the Open champion for 2026 with a 74 off the stick.

Thank you to our sponsors Zone Golf Australia & Mizuno who put up some fantastic prizes for our winners today.
Sandy McVey, one of our 2025 champions, held the lead in the morning field with a 72 off the stick, however Daryl Myles played to 1 under his handicap in the afternoon field to win the day with a 70, 2 shots ahead of runner up Sandy. The gusty winds played havoc with a few golfers club selections today, however one C Grade player is on cloud 9 today, proving that it is possible to put all your good shots together in 18 holes to end up with your best round ever, congratulations Ryan, welcome to the middle of B Grade!!

We are getting set for another great weekend of golf in Agnes!

Thank you to Mizuno and Zone Golf Australia for their generous sponsorship of both our Opens this year.

Please find the Mens draw for this Saturday 23rd May and Ladies draw for Sunday 24th May attached. Please note the Mens Open is a shotgun start at 7:30am and 12 noon on Saturday and the Ladies is a shotgun start at 9am on Sunday with lunch provided each day.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to tee off to allow for any changes.

If you are unable to play please let us know at your earliest convenience so changes can be made, we still have a waitlist for our mens open.

The GA app will be available for digital scoring for those players that wish to use it. Both digital and manual cards will be issued to all players though each day as the app will only be available to players that have Telstra service.

Players will be placed in 3 divisions with prizes for places, nearest to pins and hole-in-ones!!! A fun Sunday afternoon 9 hole event.
