We're incredibly proud to announce that Dive Spear Sport 1770 has achieved Advanced Ecotourism Certification through Ecotourism Australia.

But for us, this isn't about adding another logo to our website. It's recognition of something we've been working towards every single day since opening our doors, creating reef experiences that inspire people to not only visit the Southern Great Barrier Reef , but to understand it, value it and ultimately help protect it.

Over the past two years we've refined our experiences, strengthened our educational programs, expanded our conservation efforts and continually challenged ourselves to do better.

Thank you to our incredible team, our guests and our community for being part of this journey.

This Sunday we are running FREE 'Try Dive' sessions in our dive centre pool! 30 mins to have a go and learn the basics. Max 2 people per session, so bring a buddy and try it together. Spaces are limited - register your spot by emailing us at [email protected]

Contribute to citizen science, on a day out with us, simply by taking photos! If you're snapping shots of coral or fish species, you can share them with us and we'll add them to our inaturalist project, logging the biodiversity of Llewellyn Reef.
It's also a great way to learn the names of interesting species. Like this 'Octopus Coral' belonging to the polyped stony corals family 'Euphylliidae'.
