We look to be in for a foggy start in the morning. Visitors will find us close to the corner of Halifax St & East Tce, which is also where our regulars will find us!

Due to expected low visibility (and expected common courtesy) please do not congregate on paths prior to the event so that other park users can use the paths without having to worry about weaving through you.

UPDATE: Thanks to the wonderful community we now have a viable roster for this Saturday 6/6/26 and don't need to progress beyond VolCon2. Future weeks have plenty of vacancies so please don't be shy!

Hey Paka Peeps - we've moved to VolCon2 with the timekeeper, funnel manager and a minimum of one more marshal still to sign up for this week's roster.

Our regulars are either already on the roster or away this weekend, so we really need others to occasionally assist us in running the event. Please comment, message or email - or use the parkrun app to let us know what role has your name on it. Remember, you can always sign up for future events too!

These ducks are used to seeing a few hundred people walk and run around their wetlands on Saturday mornings but as things stand, there won’t be much activity this weekend. We’re still looking for the following:

• Timekeeper
• Funnel Manager
• Marshal x3

Let us know via a comment below, message or email if you can help out! The ducks have already politely declined our request on account of our volunteer vests being a terrible fit for them 🦆

Expect a few puddles during your parkrun tomorrow - but as it stands, don’t expect any photos as we’re still missing a photographer 💔

We could really do with another barcode scanner as well so if you’d be happy to help us out either by taking photos or scanning barcodes, please let us know!

What a lovely morning for 530 people to make their way around our wonderful wetland parkrun. So great to see, and the weather, as advised, was "splendid"!

We had a great cohort of volunteers this week. Parkrunners who did so for their fellow parkrunners, and we are forever grateful for that. Parkrun happens because of its volunteers - as always, please consider if you can assist in future weeks and drop us a line. Sorry, no photos generally this week as we did not have anyone put their hand up for that role.

See you all next week I hope!

Here's a list of our fab vollies for this week:
Jeffo KASPARIAN • Elizabeth IUSSA • Ian MEGAW • Jennifer SAVILLE • Ben O'BRIEN • John SAVILLE • Francine EDWARDS • Jonathan HEDGER • Georgia LOADER • Patricia VELAITIS • Chantelle SHEATHER • Mary STAUNTON • Henry WILSON • David SLEATH • Stephanie TAYLOR • John NGUYEN • Gerry VELAITIS • Mackenzie HOOPER • Alana KNIGHTS • David BIERTON • Joseph ALVAREZ • Claire CAHILL • Patricia THAGGARD

***UPDATE***
Thanks to Georgia, Alana, David, Claire and Elizabeth we have most positions filled. Still need a photographer is anyone is able to help out - drop us a line.
Oh, and the weather is still going to be splendid!!

Hi parkrunners,
The weather looks splendid for Saturday!

We need several people to assist as volunteers to ensure we can operate safely. All these roles require volunteers who are available for the whole event. All are simple and easy to be briefed about on the day. We currently need:
âž¡ 3 Course Marshals
âž¡ A Funnel Manager
âž¡ A Finish Token Support person
âž¡ A photographer (OK, we can do without this, but then how do we look ourselves up afterwards!!??).

If you are able to help (or if you cannot this week but can in future weeks), please comment to this post, send us a message, or email to [email protected].

Many thanks!
