HERE’S YOUR CHANCE TO SUPPORT AUSTRALIA’S TOP BLIND CRICKETERS!

Over the past 12 months, significant funding changes have had a major impact on Australia’s blind cricketers.

Previously, Cricket Australia provided funding to support the Australian Men’s Blind Cricket Team to compete internationally on an annual basis. Unfortunately, this level of funding is not currently available, meaning our athletes now face a significant personal financial commitment to represent their country.

But they’re not letting that stop them.

This December, the Australian Men’s Blind Cricket Team will travel to Sri Lanka to represent Australia, with the tour being run by Blind Cricket Australia in a self-funded capacity.

By donating to the team’s official fundraising campaign, you’ll be helping reduce the costs faced by our players and supporting them to continue representing Australia on the international stage.

Blind Cricket South Australia is incredibly proud to celebrate one of our own, Amy Roe, who graduated on Tuesday 25 August from the Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport program.

Amy’s graduation is a wonderful recognition of the hard work, commitment and passion she continues to bring to sport and, in particular, to creating opportunities and pathways for people with disability through blind cricket.

We also want to acknowledge another valued member of our Blind Cricket SA family, Emma Hart, whose hard work and dedication will see her graduate from the program in 2027. We look forward to celebrating that achievement with Emma when the time comes.

Creating pathways for women to lead in sport helps build stronger, more inclusive sporting communities — and we are incredibly proud to have Amy and Emma helping to make their mark.

🏏 The countdown is on!

Blind Cricket South Australia is excited to see the National Cricket Inclusion Championships return in 2027, with Ballarat set to host an incredible week of cricket from 10–15 January 2027.

The NCIC is always a fantastic opportunity to showcase the talent, determination and camaraderie of blind and low vision cricketers from across Australia. We’re also excited to see the championships continue to grow with the addition of a Physical Disability division in 2027.

We can’t wait to see Team South Australia back in action. Bring on Ballarat! 💙❤️
