I have a soft spot for this particular achievement… but to explain why let’s do a quick recap of how we got here
2024:
• Rehana and I started working together in June to begin preparation for Paris marathon in August.
• Let’s just say that race didn’t go to plan, but fear not, there were many races after that.
• In November Shelly and Rehana adopted me to assist with .9.9 coaching, one of the best things I’ve agreed to ❤️
• We kept training, kept pushing and accomplished a lot.
2025:
• Unfortunately around 26th Feb Rehana got a stress fracture. Something no coach wants any athlete to experience.
• Fast forward after off-loading the bone, we could start with walk/runs on the 10th June.
• Anyone who has had an injury knows how tough it is to find that confidence and rhythm again, so we were very careful. We worked through each progression and regression where necessary.
• 19th November we did the first proper workout.. and so it began..
2026:
• The proper foundation and work started.
• Milage and mini goals were put in place - we worked on sessions and planning together, and managed to consistently hit training targets.
• And the first BIG racing goal:
!!LONDON MARATHON!!
So… that’s how we got here…

We aimed high, set a scary goal and YOU DID IT!
So so so proud!
